What are you implying?oh boy time for "facts and statistics" v "my feelings"
Yeah, I completely agree.that most of the anti-gun argument is derived from emotional appeal instead of actual substance
All i got to say to this is this thanks buckley
How will not help? Have you seen japan? Banning guns there dropped homicide massively and to the paris attack, i don't think if lets say the France government allowed their citizens to have guns do you think that people would have them in their possession on a random day out? I don't think soWhat about gun regulation in Europe? People still get AKs in here and commit massacres, and it is even worse.
Let's take the paris shooting that happened last year. If more citizens had guns, less people would have died because they could use guns to defend themselves against terrorists. In stead, what happened, citizens could not do anything except flee and wait for the police to arrive and that caused way more deaths than If someone would have had a gun and stopped the terrorists.
And I agree that there should be more checks on people's mental state to make sure that the gun does not end in a mentally unstable person's hands and that mass shootings are commited.
Everything needs to be done to prevent mass shootings, but by banning guns it won't help it really.
Depends, not everyone would be taking guns with them, but nearby apartament blocks where the shooting happened (I was there some time before the shooting) have a lot of people living there that could in stead of filming the event, take their guns and attempt to stop the shooting. How will not help? It's actually made for self defence, hunting and war purpouses, not random shootings.Lol. "It's the tool" It's a tool made to literally end peoples lives

"Self defence" Lol. Why wouldn't they just allow knives and not harmful sprays if it was self defense? I can understand for sport, but the less guns, the less chance of people assaulted by somebody with one. It's actually made for self defence, hunting and war purpouses, not random shootings.
No it was made for war and killing who do you think helped made and invent it? The army of course to be used to kill capture and take people homes but good old america shrugs and says "Better that everyone has guns"It's actually made for self defence, hunting and war purpouses, not random shootings.
I'm fine with lets say a small pistol that would disable a person but fucking massive rifles machine guns shotguns ect is moronicO...kaaay?
In all honesty, I'm all for having a CONCEALED SIDEARM (and I mean a compact, simple pistol, not one of those mini-SMG machine pistol things) as long as rigorous background and mental checks are done, as well as the license being revoked if the person does develop any notable disorders.
But these people who want to open carry fucking rifles at the Republican Convention (as an example) are simultaneously stupid and dangerous. Really, the idea of having anything above a small pistol in public both confounds and honestly kind of scares me. Gun control is a topic that, ultimately, everybody's taking extreme sides here.
This entire issue could be resolved if everyone just pulled back and compromised with thoroughly-checked pistol licenses, and left it at that.
(Incidentally, I'm not much a fan of having ANY firearms in public because some triggerhappy civvie might start shooting at a shoplifter who didn't threaten anyone, which could end up killing/maiming the thief. This leads to a shitstorm of rallies and trials.
