I've been delving into the more, ambient metal phrase.
A number 1 band I could recommend is Sleep Token.

But if your not into that sort of thing.. a modern emoish/punk style song is this one, by Ekoh and Lo Spirit.. (Trigger Warnining of Suicide)

Both songs have a great lyrical story, something I look for in a song.
