What have you done this decade? You are free to share your story if you want or any accomplishment you did this decade!

For me, I managed to get into lots of competitions and win (school wise) and also moved to the USA which has been going alright so far so all in all it's been a good decade for me :D

Got out of college and got through Uni! Found a lot of new hobbies, gained and lost a few relationships and met some great friends.

There's been some less fortunate stuff though - lost all but one of my grandparents and found out the other is terminally ill so she's living with us. But overall? Could have been worse!

A lot of bad blood with family

Tried looking for love but looked like a fool and a creep

Met some of the best and worst people ever. Bonded with a few in such way I consider them my brothers

Cried a lot, laughed too.

Made a lot of stupid mistakes.

Lost an insane amount of weight to the point I am underweight.

Lost my confidence after I was left by the boys, we couldnt always be together.

Lost one of the dogs I had when I was 12. Rip Koda.

Became an uncle, I love my niece and my nephew. He loves Star Wars.

Visited Mexico, met my favourite cousin from England. Shes adorable af and a really kind soul.

Found myself a little more. Found out what I liked, disliked and so on.

Did so much, it was a nice but rough decade.

The 2010s have been the formative years of who I am as a person and building blocks to who I aim to be in the future. I built life long friendships both in real life and online with people who I’m proud to call friends. I passed my exams and moved closer to my dream job and future. I also discovered myself and how to be happy with myself rather than having a need for validation from others to have worth in the world.

I developed myself as a person into someone who wants to help people, cares about people and wants to be a good person. I’m proud of helping people when they needed it, giving back to the community and my friends all while figuring out who I was and how to be happy with myself.

TL;DR - Discovered myself, built life long friendships, placed down the building blocks for my future and who I aim to be.

met some cool people, met some garbage people, realized how some people i thought were cool were actually garbage and cut ties with them because fuck them.

managed to come into the school i wanted to be in with the education i wanted and i'm about to finish it next year.

became roleplayer filth.

did some regrettable shit on the way but mistakes are important for learning.

found out i have an undying love for fried squid.

so yeah, eventful decade.

Fucking teen years are shit just like everyone says. I guess its because its your first barehanded experience of the real world

In no particular order:

• Reconnected with family members
• Moved three times, one due to bankruptcy (oops!), one due to work and another for University
• Discovered who I really am as a person, emotionally, sexually, politically and developed towards my professional identity
• Found the one (maybe???)
• Realised I actually like Star Wars maybe then I first anticipated
• Found out I fucking HATE mushrooms, even looking at them ffs
• Met the Prime Minister that was pretty fucking boss
• Finally, built friendships to last a long time

Oh I also achieved my Chief Scot Platinum Award which was pretty dope

• Family relationships were strained, fell apart, while others grew closer.
• Me and the rest of the kiddies in my generation grew up, went from running around and playing every holiday to sitting there making small talk about the few things we all have left in common while the older generation reminisces about other times.
• Made friends, lost friends, gained enemies, lost enemies.
• Teenage years and the beginnings of adulthood, shifting priorities and ideas.

Y'know, it's really, REALLY weird thinking about it all now that it's over. 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, it seems like it was just yesterday.

• For starters: I have been starting off the decade by moving into the next school, and boy was that a horror trip, first 3 years were absolutely horrid.
• In the meantime, my family got a dog and nothing particular happend.
• Eventually, over the course of the decade I honed my skills in speaking English by continuesly learning via my own devices out of school, which was a bi-product of my previous early online activity, in where I actually picked up getting into an actual community.
• I met a dozen of friends, lost many and even my girlfriend, my dog died nearing 2018, and I felt bitter.
• There was a general melancholy that affected my school grades afterwards, nearing my final exams and that was absolutely not ok, so I repeated a year to cool things off and learn the stuff again.
• To end the decade, I have been looking for jobs, and still am on the lookout.
• Other than that, I joined nebulous and it helped me during my melancholy.

passed through all my exams, some less successful but majority were epic

learned how to cook properly so much as so I can sustain myself

managed to make new friends somehow despite my pea-brain and spaghetti


those are the ones that come off the top of my head,
lots of bad shit happened of course but that's irrelevant to the thread

oh yeah and planning to get off as a paramedic, looking for a different job now - might not find a sustainable alternative but we'll see

I grew as a person this decade. A lot of negative things happened, a lot of set backs, but it made me the woman I am today, and now I’m just thankful to be breathing.

I found out who I was as a person, and decided I wanted to join the ambulance service, now I’m just working on getting there. I’m going through the armed forces route, as a combat medical technician for free university and life experience.

I also joined nebulous this decade, a source of a lot of my anger, frustration and laughter, but I don’t regret a single day. Despite all the negativity in the community, we’re all here for the same reason, I just think we should remember that sometimes. I’ve made a lot of life long besties that I’ll stay in contact with long after I’ve said my last goodbye, and this community will always have a special place in my heart.

I aim to travel the world, broaden my horizons, and succeed in the upcoming decade. Good vibes only. :’)
