No, and your economy is shit lol
Yeah the idea isn't zombie hordes vs. line of guns, it's closer fights with melee where possible and running when it's not. Hopefully stealth would play a massive part of it.Won't deny it
ANYWAY
I believe when @Rictalspace called it "The Walking Dead" the main target was to attract the curiosity of people - Aside from shaping the way zombies work with the way they work in the series
Nearly nobody will want to melee zombies that are fast as fuck like those in 28 Days Later (do remember they're infected and not zombies either, and they run and never get tired, aside from being quite smarter).
Aside from that, the whole 1 on 1 fights will be a bit more interesting. And we could do that one little trick where people dirty themselves with zombie poopoo to pass as one of them, considering I believe there's a command to make NPCs not target specific players?
So at the risk of being lynched; why not take a mild page from Resident Evil?
The latest game where zombies showed up (6, from 2012) they're the product of inhaling the gaseous form of the 'C-Virus' - though at the cost of being unable to spread it through bites themselves, despite being driven to attack and consume anyone they can. In-universe terms they're fucking terrifying compared to the regular zombies of earlier in the series; not only are they less impaired physically, capable of moving at bursts of speeds (so while they'll usually shuffle after you, they can launch into a stumbling run and throw themselves teeth-first at food) but they're mild problem solvers and can even use basic weapons now and again because they're not as degraded mentally either.
Your average RE zombie doesn't understand it can climb fences or ladders or jump a gap. A C-Virus zombie can, does, and will. Some of them pick up and use everything from fire-axes to shovels to knives to try and clumsily beat/stab prey to death. They'll throw them if you're not in range to try and hit you. They'll even use guns (very poorly) if they turned with them close by. They won't reload them but the idea is pretty spooky.
This virus can also reanimate dead corpses (something no other virus in the series did up to this point) which means you potentially have graveyards and morgues getting up with the munchies.
There's also a few mutant varieties but eh.
The sky is the limit when it comes to zombies but generally the less whacky you go in some ways the more fun people end up having.
Ironically I was just watching the videos of that on youtube for inspiration pre-outbreak.how about CrossedRP?
i said CW: Severance within reasonI puked
alright you're going down a slippery slopehow about CrossedRP?
Two, yeah.maybe @sneezing slug can give some insight since tnb ran a zombie server i think?
i said CW: Severance within reason
this is a welcome surprise
i do take issue with TWD's lore, particularly when it comes to zombification
correct me if im wrong but in TWD lore everyone is already infected, and the only prerequisite to turning into a zombie is dying
and zombie bites have no special properties beyond what you would get from being bitten by a several year old corpse, which is to say a lot of potential for diseases
if that's true, then why exactly are walker bites invariably 100% lethal?
if that's true, then why exactly are walker bites invariably 100% lethal?
It's explained as ultimately a lack of medical supplies, blood loss, the obvious diseases of a rotting corpse, the IRL issues with stress weakening your immune system and toxic shock.if that's true, then why exactly are walker bites invariably 100% lethal?
