I think there should be an expansion upon the rules, under like some general "fail RP" rule, or an expansion upon NLR, maybe?

The rule should establish guidance or establish some limitations on baiting the police/a gang, it should, ideally, prohibit baiting the police/a gang just for the sake of being a pain in the ass and provoking a car chase or a fight without any actual RP reason. People doing this are not valuing their lives when they engage in this behavior.

Obviously, this would not be applied to situations where a group is already in an altercation with the police and is baiting the police in a different location to cause a diversion so their friends to get away.

Actually while I'm on this note, it should also be explicitly prohibited for someone who is incapacitated to give callouts in an on-going scenario. This would fall under a Fail RP rule. You are incapacitated, after all.

IDK if radios can be used if you're down, but if they can that should also be expressly prohibited.

man this shit fucks me off

look, it’s just bad sportsmanship to steal a super car and then hang around the PD purposefully forcing the police to waste their time pursuing you, when everyone knows they have a fat chance in hell of getting you

if I’m driving the cruiser and a supercar is goading me, i wouldnt even give them the time of day to pursue them, and I’d probably get punished for letting them go

but like fuck am I going to chase a car down the road, lose it immediately, only for the cunt to DRIVE BACK to the PD and start revving his engines at me

I've literally seen people steal a car right around MRPD and do donuts up and down the street just trying to bait cops, it's actually cringe and weird.

If you find supercars though they should probably be identified and forward to staff because most of them were deliberately taken off the streets.

i remember patrolling with @Warwick and we were genuinely “pursuing” the same sports car for about 20-30 minutes

we lost it about 7 times, and each time they drove back to us to force us to go after it again

and we couldn’t respond to anything during this time because obviously we have to respond to the reckless evading, speeding, and several hit & runs, even if we had literally 0 chance of catching him

This shouldn't be happening imo.

Same with going to pillbox or mrpd just to ram cop cars for the sake of ramming cop cars. I mean if you're trying to cause a distraction for your buddy that's being chased or detained that's one thing, but doing it just for the attention is weirdge.

This, I funnily enough don’t have a problem with. If people want to bait cops, it’s a sign that they aren’t afraid of the consequences, and therefore the consequences need to be greater. Increasing the fines and jail time for reckless evading, by a substantial amount should fix this.

The one thing I will say, is people never remember to actually act as if a gun or a TASER is pointed at them. NVL is a huge problem right now, I suspect due to some people being new to the format, but a PSA should fix that.

Mayb supercars should be too difficult to lockpick or smn? Idk.
That's much more difficult because they're not really classified in any special way, in addition to custom handling making them possibly a different class anyway.

And I don't wanna be that guy that's like "ok well find all the supercar names and do it that way!" Bcuz I can only imagine how time consuming and hard this is already lol. It's ok, I didn't know. Maybe someone else can figure out a solution to our supercar dillema :p

The problem with that approach is that you still need to test every one of them to have different characteristics, and then you have to test the cars under it because the super cars likely become much closer or worse to sports cars which then you have to repeat the process for everything.

Personally I'll always respond to a gun by putting my hands up but I want to remain free to run against a taser. Else you are pigeonholing people into a stun.

One thing I notice a lot *cough burger shot* is that they keep pulling guns out when they're under gunpoint.

Idk man every time you've pulled out a gun at the burger shot there were like 3 other people that were also strapped lol

Stop with the weird remarks.

Either make a player report or don't.

A lot of this shit isn't gonna fly with this server.

Didn't make a player report because people are still adjusting and the server is fresh, I don't think it's done out of malice so it's whatever. I shouldn't have mentioned burger shot and kept it vague as that seems to have aggrod people and wasn't my intention.

It's not about who it's aggrod but more so about it being jabs at people unnecessarily; we have the player reports section for when you feel that something happened that shouldn't have, which can lead to clarification or a situation or rules. Don't make remarks in threads here, we won't allow this server to cater to people that spread toxic remarks.

Just they wait for when helicopters are around and it's on their ass till they ran out of fuel and have to switch cars.

tbh, I find it hard to differentiate when a gun or taser is being pointed at me, so I think it would help if tasers were made bright yellow or something like they're in some countries to make it easier to tell.

Also, i don't think NVL should apply to tasers, there are plenty of cases of people irl who just don't care about a taser until they're hit by it lol
