have put the game down as fundamental parts of the main story are completely broken later in the storyline, including an entire settlement disappearing because of a bug everyone has. it feels like they didnt have a single person actually sit down and play through it start to finish. will be waiting for patches. if you are someone considering buying the game, wait a few months.

its sad to see such a beautiful, fun to play game released in open playtesting beta and be called a finished title.

How does your PC handle Stalker 2?

I played the game for 5 hours at low settings and i'm thinking finally to change my GPU.
having to play on the lowest settings with dlss on performance using a gtx 4060 to get above 70 fps regularly. the benchmarks dont seem accurate at all. very, very poorly optimized. unreal 5 moment

As much as I'd like to throw shit at UE5 for other things, it always gets the blame for optimization issues despite the fact it's a perfectly fine engine on that end. yes, most devs on UE5 games are indeed just too lazy to profile and debug their code for optimization. I'd say stuff like DLSS and other upscaling methods are partly to blame since they created the toxic culture of "if it goes 60+ FPS with these many workarounds, why bother with optimization?"

that's strange i hold up just fine on medium settings & dlss with a gtx 3060. u sure its not something else? RAM maybe?

either way, respecc the choice to stay away from the game, the experience is definitely not for everyone atm. you have to have a high bug tolerance and not everyone has that and there's valid reasons not to

i finished cyberpunk 2077 on launch and loved it. bugs where u have to reload ur save or do some obscure ritual is whatever. bugs that break the entire main questline unless u install an external mod for a console to noclip (and other quests that have NO fix) are less bugs and more an unfinished game. i want the complete experience.

I was to lazy to scroll through thread to search if someone actually posted this. But considering it's a Stalker thread i would like to share my favorite Sfm about Stalker. Incase no one else knew about it,
