Ive been looking around both FacePunch and Steam for a solution to my problem. So I will ask you guys. My Garrys Mod crashes on the startup loading screen when it says "Finished!". I have no idea why. I have tried the following:
1: Deleting my addons folder and unsubscribing from all addons.
2: Making an exception for hl2.exe in AVG.
3: Restarting Steam.
4: Restarting my computer.
5: Verifying game cache.
6: Deleting TF2.
7: Reinstalling GMod.
8: Reinstalling Steam.
9: Deleting hl2.exe and redownloading it.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, 16 GB RAM, Intel Core i7-4790k and a Sapphire Tri-X R9 390X graphics card. Any help would be appreciated but I am starting to fear that this is a lost cause.

EDIT: So I reinstalled GMod again, now the game doesnt even start. It does start the hl2.exe process (according to Task Manager) but it is only using 300kb memory. I honestly have no idea anymore.

7: Reinstalling GMod.
I think its something with the content you got since you may have Reinstalled Gmod but the content still redownloads. Just try to unsubscribe from the content you dont need as well as delete it manualy and give it a go.
Same thing happened to me ones and it worked

Ehm what? Also, It fixed itself, I have no idea what I did.
Confused for another person who was jokingly told you needed five people to say hello to you to fix your textures.
At any rate, glad you actually fixed it.
But do you have the hardware to run it or space to hold it? Really odd issue you are reporting.
And is it really displaying only 300kb?

I have 16GB RAM and had 100 GB left on my 1TB disk, the graphics card can run the new Star Wars Batlefront on max settings at 60 fps. The processing unit is the next to latest from Intel, and I have been able to play GMod (WW3RP) before so that shouldnt be a problem. The 300kb thing is something that has happened to other games before when AVG decides to block them. The weird thing was that I had already made a new exception for it.

Well if the 300kb is happening to other games, besides just garry's mod, then the good thing its not garry mod specific issue. Better yet, if gmod is working fine, than i guess its just something you are going have to ignore while you play.
