I luckily bypassed that by getting dropped by an AK dude and he helped me make my baseBeen trying to play with my brother for the past two days
every time we end up getting a little shack built and get tools we get raided by fully geared people with AKs
that's if we get past the rampant naked killing
I'll join you, played with my other two brothers untill we had good gear till the wipe, though we couldn't do much considering we started like 3/4 days before the wipe and there were big ass clans around usBeen trying to play with my brother for the past two days

Satellites is another great place, its rather large and quiet, plenty of scrap, components, trees and nodes for you.Build near the dome for easy scrap, one run can net you 250 (if vanilla) or 500 (if 2x) scrap and people rarely go there due to the Launch Pad being higher priority.
whatIf you make a 1 by 99998 then theoretically it's impossible to locate your loot.
Is it just me who prefers the Legacy (old) rust? I'm not much for the experimental. I've always found that there's less interaction in experimental and people prefer to just kill on sight everybody they meet. The weapons were much better on legacy too imo.

Thanks for those guides, they are extremely helpfulInside the first base I was involved with(I love the steam message asking if the door friend system works). I was too new to build bases myself back in Jan 2014, but I'd end up playing enough to do my own while Legacy lasted.
After taking a break from it for a few years I came back and built bases with one core design with little variations(and unique names), and ended up making video montages. I felt it was too difficult making guns though, as in Legacy you could build anywhere and produce some firearms, but now you seem to need to build near high value areas all the time which forced the experience to be more competitive and less relaxed.

I saved my bases after Legacy for fun http://steamcommunity.com/groups/salbums/discussions/0/1473096694449408534/
I've got my old Legacy bases saved somewhere.
My last base was used solely for guide testing.
