So... I'm not that big of a rap fan, but holy.
This shit is fire.

i thought it was a 1% improvement over his last awful album

a whole album of him complaining and crying that no one liked his last album
whilst triyng to stay irrelevant with the current rap scene

and ofc spitting out "diss" tracks about other fellow rappers for no current reason
i guess the diss tracks are ment for social media hype, chart positions is all he aims for now

I mean... fair enough, I guess?
If you're not into disses, you're not. I on the other think that some of Em's best tracks have been disses, so I quite like the style and theme. Also, I don't think they're random whatsoever - and most of the people he dissed have answered by bowing down instead of firing back. Guess they have learned from those that previously beefed with Eminem.

Plus, I am more of a fan of his style of rapping versus stuff like mumbling or just slowly throwing out words.

edit: Also, I think his lyricism is back on point tbh

i think a few youtubers dissed him back when he made that cringery anti-trump "free style" BET video
some ppl made jokes about his revival album also having cringery lyrics and bad sound production
now his newest one, people are just taking the piss out of him for sounding like a cliche out of touch old man

by the time he's in his 50s
he's gonna start looking like mike pence

Pretty sure he addresses it throughout the album tho. He doesnt hide that the prior album was weak amd thus he brought the 'old fire' back, which includes dissing people. He does it now because he was asked to, because he wasnt doing it before and people criticized him for it.


Seems like the overall reception is very ambivalent about the album. Lots of rave reviews and lots of criticism. Those he dissed tho seem to be chill about it, besides MGK and a select few.

Yeah it wasn't a bad album at all (especially not compared to the last few) but I think, like everything, he can't match the fire he had twenty years ago and it shows.

I find it hard to believe you actually think he isnt better than those and the likes of drake, MGK, Kanye (current) etc..
