Its a shame that what Cryptic did regarding DDoSing rival communities crippled LP's reputation in the eyes of many for its entire lifespan given how many people had heard of what he did without pinning it on him (and instead levied it against the entire community).
In hindsight, I don't think it was just Cryptic, and quite honestly, I don't think he was the brains behind that either.
If I had to bet, I'd bet on Gurrazor. Despite simply showing himself as a goofy guy who talked about fucking girls and wanting shit to be professional, he was actually way more hands-on that one would expect in many of these cross-community interaction matters.

Even if Gurrazor wasn't in the know, the fact that people knew it was a thing and shrugged it off... honestly, it kinda warrants the reputation (plus it wasn't just the DDoS thing, there was a lot of other shit, which I'll get into at some point, later on).

Given the man preyed upon wealthy players regardless of the damage to their reputation, tried to poach staff for Monolith and sold a gamemode that wasn't legally his for 900 dollars it wouldn't shock me.

"Rabid I need you to get on server right now because Ace donated £100 for a Spas-12 and a rebel cop suit. I think we have that right?"
"Yeah we do."
"Okay thanks."

Literally one of the only times he messaged me in my months as SD. Pretty sure he only asked me and not an SA because he wanted to keep it hush-hush because you weren't supposed to be able to donate for gear.

When I almost got demoted for amputating someone the first time he flagged after spending 1k to buy a USP

Had to give a quite famous TF2 Youtube animator a black gasmask, 2 filters, 2000 tokens and an AK47 with some ammo plus CP whitelist because "he paid 80$ for it."

Thing was kept behind the scenes for obvious, shitty reasons

Guy only played for a day and hadn't been seen ever since, though man his SFM vids are well done

Wasn't actually winglet

It was some fan of his with the same name and avatar- from like dubai or a rich middle eastern country. (Gurra's words not mine) - The guys english wasn't the best either

And it wasn't the cop whitelist, it was a cop suit- that he used to pretend to be a cop for a bit before dying by rebels.

Also he payed for the bird whitelist, a bird that got knocked out and thrown in a cell before we did map change event. Was never seen again past that

Memory fucked it up a bit, but it's cool knowing that it wasn't the real Winglet!

I'm 99% sure Gurrazor once said to us "I know I'm not supposed to sell scripts but its £200..." and I mean it wasn't like we could object lmao.

Him coming on to play a child character during Contact with zero idea of how unfitting it was nor the fact it was against the rules only to be confused and quit after getting mad at Harry for killing him was the best thing.

Nah dude, LP almost actually had microtransactions be official with its own thread. I was told to write up a thread for HL2RP players on it. Luckily guess who made sure that idea never saw the light of day in the end.
