FBI does get involved outside the U.S. on occassion often in cases that revolve around American treatment and lives. A real IRL example being an FBI-JSOC operation to rescue American POW's.

What I mean by this is we can get news reports in game similar to how USE Works in hl2rp but have news reports telling us for example "Today the FBI captured 4 pro-russian revolutionary cells planning a bombing on the mint" or some shit.

TL: DR Event characters that are news casters telling us shit from roleplay docs which the soldiers and civillians icly will watch and take the shit ic.

I doubt that any Capitalist news makes it into the Soviet Union. Considering that the only news source would really just be Soviet propaganda and news. They wouldn't mention anything about their cells being captured.

It's an example, and given that everyone is pm starting as a civllian it'd be nice to have some thing like that be it state radio or like a resistance group doing rebel radio or something, I'm pitchin here

It would also be worth noting it’s not like those agents in the field would have the backing of the CIA or whatever intelligence group they’re working with. The only thing that would set them apart from a miltitant in the field would be training and the fact they’d have to report to a handler/director once a month.

what sets them apart is a few things more than that:

• the fact they're an enemy combatant rather than some random civilian means capture = an execution (or, very rarely, POW trade)
  
• training means they're more capable with sabotage/espionage than your average run-of-the-mill civilian
• naturally have foreign family ties, meaning if caught pressure will be created on the local political chain
• tend to be more well equipped and sent in with sensitive information/technology
• will potentially be the subject of a rescue operation, unlike disposable partisans

Perhaps then. I wouldn't be surprised with a rebel radio all things considered since HL2RP had one as well. Though it wouldn't necessarily be possible for them to get actual news still. Unless it's stuff going on domestically

It could be smuggled in by the CIA and given to the partisans who'd then distrbute it.

If we're really serious about this lore, I could see Britain, Japan and many other commonwealth nations basically working as vassal states to America, allowing for expansion of the military industrial complex into other various nations in order to maintain the NATO war-machine. The United States and British Navy is at the time surpassing the Soviets', however, the Soviets' are ramping up their naval production, causing panic for the NATO War Council. War propaganda is blasted on television, the radio as the remaining Westernized nations struggle to hold onto the lifestyle they thought was so secure. A constant paranoia at home of spies infiltrating government and the military is talked about with many lives having been ruined over mere allegations. At this point, the American country is run by plutocrats who spoke with the most anti-Communist sentiments, sealing their elections with millions of dollars financed by many of those profiting from the military industrial complex. The patriotism displayed by the public is real, yet often misused by the political elites. Military service becomes compulsory, both by culture and law.

In my mind, I was thinking of it being done on a character by character basis. In a lot of situations there’s not a lot of dialogue between different elements in the field, so if you had two people who were or were employed by the CIA, chances are they’d have no idea about the other persons existence.

It would also be cool to work alongside other intelligence groups and see their tactics at work, because the CIA’s main strategy of winning over a region with greenbacks and surplus weapons might not be applicable to this timeline, whilst the same might not be true for MI6 for instance (I don’t have a ton of knowledge on how they conduct espionage etc.)

I disagree with the last portion because CIA are there to make connection, extract info as well as arm the resistance to cause problems for the Soviet Union.

I'd prefer if CIA agents worked in pairs at least for roleplay's sake, but I agree that CIA cells should not know of each other's existance if only to prevent that info from being tortured out of them.

I don't mind working with various intelligence groups, I just feel its' best to primarily use the best-funded intelligence service and not go down the rabbit-hole with trying to play rainbox six siege and end up with ten different special forces companies, which obviously can't all be represented by the playerbase at once, so there's no point is trying to represent it all, and it would probably just take away from the server in the end. I rather just have one joint NATO task force, not to mention trying to get a bunch of models for every single group. That would be terrible for staff at least.
