Don't worry, it's something we are leaning towards, it sounds great in theory but the logistics of how it would work and who can be trusted with it is a different story.
I am in a ARMA 3 unit with some guys and for like small insurgent groups it can be done like this.

this does mean keeping track of it on a forum or a google doc like here but I'd say it's definetly doable with about 20 people. Ofcourse the server will have a lot less scripts like this and not the same amount of vehicles. And then you also gotta how money will be gained for these insurgent groups however I think on ARMA this is a pretty cool system. (I am sorry unit members for stealing and leaking our sacred documents :sob:)

I would love to keep track. But let me know what you think of this. It's a lot to keep track off but I think with insurgent groups it can be doable if the right people keep track of it like char said.

It would pair well with the computer system they have so their could be IC storage logs and shit

Quartermaster could easily log each supply they receive and give out on the computer notes or files system. Making stealing it valuable!

You will, however, be able to play your old characters from WW3RP 1983/1990rp with appropriate authorisation.

I know its probably written somewhere in these 40 odd pages, but when they take a good ten minutes to load I can't be fucked to look.
But, what are the requirements for something like this? How does one get authorised to play an old character?

Everybody seemed to be vehemently against not having a quartermaster in WW3RP last time, but considering that Soviets are going to be an applied for faction, and that its' unlikely that insurgent groups will have much from the start to take them on, that there is a good opportunity to have a few NCOs trusted to keep stock and manage weaponry/explosive ordnance. It would really be a thankless task, but I could see a few people getting a sick kick out of it. I'm sort of feeling like it a bit, although, anything not accounted for ends up being your ass.

Back in the day it was mostly determined if your character is realistic to be in involved in the current conflict that we have. Why would for instance be a English man fighting for the soviet union as a stasi. If you have a realistic reasoning for it then it could be authorised I guess but still they just don't want characters called Juan Deag on the soviet side if you get what I mean.

This question is pretty much to be decided at a far later date and somewhat irrelevant at this current state. RB and Char have had to repeatedly answer the question that yes, you'll be able to, but just wait way further down the road until the server/Stasiland forum is set up before asking.

Believe me I wouldn't mind holding track of a inventory. I did it all ready back when I was a MP when we got stuff from POW's we had a thread where we would keep track of what we had in the storages at the time so we knew if somebody was stealing from our stuff without asking the proper authorisation to take these items from the storage.

Oh yeah I expected as much, if I didn't think my character would fit into the environment I wouldn't have even considered bringing him back.

I can get like the first two pages of this thread to load, if I had known it was asked time and again I would have my answer already lol

*** a bell is rung at the quartermaster's table ***

quartermaster returns smoking a cigarette, "What can I do for you?"

senior soldier: 'senior sargent says its' my turn with the as-val...'

Applications for both factions and authorisations is going to take a very much In Character form, not so much a focus on how much you can write about OOC experience, but how compelling you are as a writer and how good you are at crafting believable characters to our setting.

Edit:

That does not mean IC interviews or something, just more IC oriented written applications

Ah okay, I knew it would be something along those lines, it wouldn't make much sense to have a character left behind by nato without them being able to hide out at all.
