Also that road though.. you wanna turn on anisotropic for SFM otherwise your textures are gonna look ass
You have to do that manually tho through the Nvidia control panel and then 3D program settings
If you got an AMD gpu then good luck with that...

Alternatively add some misc props on the road to cover up bad texture resolutions, like trash, barricades, debris etc
The more shit you put in your scene, the better. It actually does make a difference.

E: a comment on the lighting - I think you used a scene where there's global illumination? like where there's light in the actual map that makes everything bright, so that you can't control the shadows etc with your own lighting
Use those dark hugebox maps you can find in the SFM workshops where it's pitch black, then spam like 29482849 light sources in your map and it will look much better

(oops did I just do cuntcake's job?..)
This map is a void map and I did the lighting manually, it’s just I didn’t enable shadowing for 99% of them. I’ll fix that when I get home

My first half-decent pose in a while, used a couple lamps for flashlights and streetlamps, and used the glow tool for the OTA eyes.
Did a bit of colour and curve editing in PS CS6 Extended.

Just so you know, doing this can lead to more frequent crashes. Been pulling that trick for a while and I save after every single change/edit now

I wish some1 would take some of their pretty time to convert all the scenebuilding .mdl models from SFM into .obj formats so that they can be used in blender
fuck SFM, it was built for shitty PC's back then with 2gb ram, you can't even make it use over 2gb ram, if u exceed that limit it goes boom boom and u go wah wah "i just lost all my work"
blender is like "what's crash? never heard of it"

fuck SFM, it was built for shitty PC's back then with 2gb ram, you can't even make it use over 2gb ram, if u exceed that limit it goes boom boom and u go wah wah "i just lost all my work"
blender is like "what's crash? never heard of it"

i just want an update for sfm

how would you use the face posing and reference animations for ragedolls though

Finding a way to import the animation sequences as .fbx files
animations are basically models with only the skeleton, having a keyframe timelapse imported into it

as for face posing there should be a way to import the shapekeys as well

didn't say you couldn't make your own shapekeys though
the default shapekeys for the citizen models are kinda meh, and blender is also handy that you can directly edit the models and the skeletons, where in sfm ur just kinda stuck with how it is really

also, important, the addon Enhanced HL2 Vehicles has been removed from workshop, the one with the ragdolled vans and cars.
IF any of you were subscribed to it, it should still be in your addons as a gma file. If it is i'd love if you could move it to your desktop or something, so its saved.
