Finished Episode 5, the finale.

This show is just things I seriously didn't expect. I was predicting some bullshit beyond acceptable degrees due to the nature of the incident and was expecting for stuff to be added that really didn't need to be added or talks about, but everything about it just threw me off-guard the moment Episode 1 aired and had me hooked in an instant.

The accuracy of even the most minor of details, the storytelling, the camera-work, the effects, the clothing, the sheer dedication to even sift through thousands of words from personal accounts of almost all key-players during the Chernobyl incident and put it on screen as an almost completely accurate yet respectable interpretation of events.

Fucking legitimate bravo to Craig Mazin and Johan Renck, seriously. These guys deserve the praise they're getting for their work, it's astounding.

TV shows ain't gonna get better than this, so buckle up for mediocrity boys and girls.

In the end it would say:
"We will never know the true cost of Chernobyl, some estimate it caused 4,000-90,000 deaths.
However the Soviet report from 1988 says 31"

But sadly not included due to copyright claims from HBO

I thought the pacing was way too slow for the first few episodes and got bored about halfway through, dont really like most of the characters so nothings really hooked me to keep watching
ill finish the rest of the episodes another time

Just watched the final episode of this series, I am gonna miss it so much, wish that it could continue but I am starting to doubt about it.
I really liked it, when I was like 8 or 9 years old, I was really into the Chernobyl, so I started my own "investigation" on it and kept looking for stuff about it in the internet, I didnt see much, but it was totally interesting, then I kind of abandoned it, but here I am, just watched the series and I love it, I've always wanted to see a good simulation of how the core would explode right in front of you and what the personnel would do, what the radiation would do, what's remaining after the explosion, etc, etc, I was totally curious, now that it's been shown by HBO, I can say that my curiosity is sealed ever since I got into it.

I must say that Craig has done a brilliant job, so did the rest of his crew, the soundtrack is really unique which just adds more into the series, Hildur did a great job! I like how well the movie was thought out and executed, its done very great, best series you'll see in your life.

I hope that HBO will follow the type of these series, maybe they can produce a series about Fukushima, about people's heroic acts and what was done about it.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the part when the scientist gang is in the court, while listening to three of them and looking around in the scenes, I felt like I was in the court as a witness of it, I was immersed into it, listening to the evidence.

I watched the rest of the episodes since I left off
finale was definitely the best part of the show, but what I enjoyed the most was the slideshow before the credits

the other episodes I didnt enjoy as much like I said, very slow and boring
