in what timeline would hl2rp get referenced in a valve game

if anything it would be out of pity
Especially neb in particular, we're just a bunch of spergs that don't even play in the Half Life universe anymore, we're just using half life assets at this point

Nothing we have done for a honorable mention lmao

I hate how the Oculus Rift S is said to be 399$ everywhere I look, but when I actually go to buy it, it‘s 450€, and no, it’s not the difference between € and $, because 399$ equate about 360€, bruh.

And 450€ equate to about 500$

(now it‘s actually 400€ because of Black Friday and all but it‘s the problem normally)

Get your HL:A leaks before the VNN video drops:

- Valve was scared shitless after the release of Artifact, and expected the same reception for HL:A.
- Valve was planning on releasing HL:A in December of last year around Christmas. Obviously took longer. They were basically creating a half life game as quickly as possible.
- They weren't planning on releasing a trailer until like a month ago.
- They weren't expecting the trailer to do well, in what they saw as a dying market, and when it hit like 9 million views they literally shat themselves.
- There was a meeting shortly after the trailer set the internet on fire, where Valve discussed their next move.
- The Index sold more units from the trailer dropping until now then the entire time from launch to the day before the trailer.
- Valve went in there and basically said 'Hey folks, people are gonna get their indexs in a week or two, and they are gonna play the good ole' VR games and get boneworks, and then they are gonna play HL:A and then there's gonna be a gap in the market for 1-2 years while other 3rd party groups are trying to make their own games based around Alyx. So we'll do these two things:'
1. We'll release the source code for HL:A / Source 2. Hammer Tools will keep the game going for some time, as people will be able to make levels and directly upload them to the workshop. Problem is, the code is absolutely bonkers because it's been messily built on through project after project. It'll take ~6 months to get going and release, but once it's released we'll see things like Counter Strike, Team Fortress, Gmod, etc. be developed like the good ole days. It'll be an absolute gold mine.

2. We'll take the assets that we already have, and we'll whip up a new game as quickly as possible. This of course being the shit that happened to Barney during the events of HL2. Think Opposing Force or Blue Shift for HL1. It takes place at the same time. Of course, this would all be on the drawing board at this point. However, they have a reason not to scrap these projects like they have for the past 10 years because they gotta release the shit fast.

This makes sense only that they'd be too scared to release anything other than HL:A. I don't believe for a second that Valve were expecting anything different, they knew the results of putting Half-Life in the title of a game.
