Take a moment to read what I said, please.

I have no issues with the LGBT people, attacking me personally isn't helping change my mind about Pride either.
But you understand that no one here is going to be sympathetic to a view that you basically don't like something that these people had to fight to have and are still fighting to have

I only oppose LGBT pride because I think it shoots LGBT in the foot. Am I the only person that thinks compromise won't happen by shouting gay rights 200 times at people that don't understand it?
sophisticated or not it goes to desensitize the masses and thus normalize expression of non-hetero sexuality and culture within a given society; same goes for minority representation in media. normalization through exposure and saturation. a good example of this is when ultranationalism became suspiciously popular in germany after its government went ultranationalist and started pumping out propaganda

? I believe there are better approaches that can be utilized, that isn't monetised by major companies
lol my man we live in a neolib late capitalism hellscape. everything is monetized and everything is a commodity. accept it.

or actually considers that the people that dislike LGBT won't understand the purpose of Pride and will consider it a threat?
that's just instinct-based bigotry. its their deeper 'selves' telling them gay bad, so rationalizing it ain't gonna help. i've tried it with some people before and they just rationalize their way out of it. in most cases there's no helping it

besides pride isn't /really/ as much about indoctrinating the moderate masses into thinking gay good. it's about sexual minorities coming together to proclaim their rights to be who they and their right to express who they are through any means they want. you may think this is some fasci stuff but don't straight people express themselves just as much if not more every single day of their lives? think of all the hunky men and sexy ladies in ads. think of all the pompous weddings and public dry-humping.

Once again, the side that wishes for equality and understanding shows none of those for the opposing side, despite the fact that I said LGBT is OK.

u posted homophobic stuff on an lgbt thread. kinda cringe ngl

So I can't disagree with it? Aren't they trying to find a compromise and a way to live together?

It's stretching it thin to call it homophobic, I said I just dislike the movement, not LGBT people?

Thank you for actually taking time to explain this to me, before all.

What I observed is that some people that are homophobic (sue me I know both LGBT and homophobics) thinks that they just don't care and they dislike that sexuality is constantly brought into their face, thus made them further away from liking LGBT communities. I live in a country where even hetero-sexuality is considered somewhat taboo and I don't feel like the right way to progress is the path Pride takes. I think it would be more better to show that "pride is same as everyone else" instead of screaming "we are different and you have to accept it" if our goal is to normalize.

Another controversial opinion: Netflix has been doing somewhat good job on it. Except they are a bit late :P

I wouldn't say that shit he said is homophobic. What he said was just stupid.

You really talking like the entire population of LGBT people voices their opinion on your silly opinion

I'm personally in favor of LGBT celebrating their sexuality, and I'm a (((cis male))). While it has its downsides, you can't really say they shouldn't or have no reason to celebrate it. Most of them went through moments in their lives either laughed at for not being straight or legitimately forced into bottling up their sexualities. Respect for LGBT people, man. That's why you don't see anyone talking about "Why's there no straight pride?". It's because straight people aren't usually oppressed for being straight.
Stop saying gay shit dude

I don't see why you saw the need to take personal jabs at me.

I agree that the way I presented the opinion might have been stupid but it's a general observation that whenever I try to disagree with LGBT I get assaulted personally. This is the mentality I dislike. I have not taken any personal jabs at anyone and look at them this time. Ranging from racism to being labeled.

If I was a homophobic I wouldn't change my mind on anything with this behaviour.

At the end of the day no one is forced to participate in pride events, if they bother you that much then you aren't really part of the intended audience.

Mandatory gayness has never been a thing i can't say the same for the opposite

Totally agreed, but what can ya do about it. People say dumb shit and people respond appropriately.

All in all, you said something which is fine in a bad way and people found a reason to insult someone for being Turkish

i mean idk most pride parades my friends have attended (no such luxury for me; donetsk hours) aren't all that extreme. from my friends' accounts it's usually just young people walking around with flags and doing peaceful marches / protests while also using the event as an opportunity to tighten the community.

the image of "the degeneracy parade" has an interesting history. afaik these are only true for the largest ones that usually take place in large US cities where it becomes less about LGBT and more about retarded US individualist cultures. yes, americans really are loud and stupid. most pride marches across smaller places in the US and europe

footage of such 'carnivals' is often used by anti-lgbt or generally far-right groups to misinform the public and make them think that pride is usually purely about public sexing. it's a myth they've been rather successful at spreading.

note: and even if the large ameriparades are usually over the top i still think the people participating in them shouldn't really be shunned considering straight people do similar kind of shit. if miley cyrus can be half-naked in front of millions of people, why can't some aniki-looking brother do the same without getting stoned?

No one is gonna get hurt from more exposure to the LGBTQ+ it's just gonna help more people understand themselves and stuff

It's not easy to break cultural barries no matter how logical and reasonable it is.

I mean racism and personal jabs at everyone that disagrees with the way you do things isn't helping it either I suppose?

And I don't mean just this instance, I've seen this happen a lot of times at others too, lol.

During the first pride parade in my country they got orthodox priests to follow around the group chanting shit at them with big banners, you can prob find a video of it if you look up macedonia pride parade 2019 or something
