lots of people are gonna be disappointed when it doesn't live up to their unrealistic hype
Quite possibly, since some people went really carried away on their hype train. I just want a neato cyber RPG and this seems like this be it.
i have a feeling the game is gonna be shit or very mediocre
I mean it’s not. They didn’t delay it for their health, I think it’s still going to be a fantastic game. Although, I’m sure some will talk about how crap it is since they have hyped themselves to the nth degree

NOTICE:

Please refrain from posting leaked content here.

This was the same with TLOU2, while unlikely I still don't want to run the risk of us getting hit with a fat dmca takedown notice

You can talk about gameplay and stuff that's all fine, just don't link to leaks/reupload leaked content here. Cheers

E: Also use the spoiler tag where applicable, some of us wanna go into the game blind

you are a

cyber punk.

Red dead redemption 2 was the last game that lived up to my expectations because going into it I had none

Prior to playing rdr2 I hated westerns as a genre

Only expectation I have for this game is for them to actually show how fucking dark of a universe cyberpunk is. I’m tired of games, movies, and shows trying to make things look way better then they actually are.

Like with RDR2 I enjoyed so much because it didn’t only pull you into the story, but it showed the helplessness and absolute despair of turn of the century America. Where we faced the death of the old culture of farms and when people were allowed to just be people.

RDR2 made you experience loneliness in a game. You had no choice but to just go with the times and you as the player just had to sit back and watch it all happen, you had no impact on the world because it just went about as normal. It just was up to you as Arthur to try and either redeem your humanity or slip farther down.

I don’t like the whole savior complex in games. And I sorta hope cyberpunk is like that, except you can either be liked, and actually try and make an impact for better or worse, or have everyone out to get you. It’s all about greed and power in the universe anyway

You missed a pretty significant part of the soundtrack, callbacks and references if you didn't play through RDR 1 beforehand. The last song to play in the epilogue is literally a remaster of a track from RDR 1, which played at important points in the game.

A lot of stuff that happens in RDR2 will give you a lot of "a-ha" moments, if you have played RDR1 beforehand, and it probably made my experience a lot better. Knowing how it ends before you press "new game" for the first time makes it even more exciting

I played rdr1 when I was 10 and I remember never finishing it, I didn't care when they shoved me into Mexico

México was a welcome break, in my opinion. Helped punctuate how hopeless the cause for redemption and release of duty to the lawmen really was, when you travelled to a foreign and exotic land to pursue ancient feuds and peace.

Also got to meet Landon who, in my opinion, is the most based non-main character in all of Red Dead

Rdr2 was an overall improvement but I still think the original had the superior and more memorable story and characters. Bonnie, Nigel Dickens, Irish, Seth, ricketts. Whereas the only great characters 2 had imo were dutch and auther.

cant rly blame people, its rockstars fault for treating pc like shit, you can only just barely emulate rdr1 on pc with a rly good setup but thats about it if you dont own an xbox lol

lots of people are better off investing in cryogenic chambers so they can just freeze themselves until the cyberpunk era (please let there be a cyberpunk era of humanity)

whatever way it goes, im pretty sure cyberpunk 2077 will become the standard for the cyberpunk genre and cyberpunk open world.

pretty sure there's like 5 decent cyberpunk games, and one of them is a 8bit bartender/dating sim

there's not enough overall cyberpunk game content to really be able to tarnish 2077 by comparison. at this point, we're comparing the game to what we could imagine a game could be, which is not a healthy way of setting expectations.

Quite possibly, since some people went really carried away on their hype train. I just want a neato cyber RPG and this seems like this be it.
honestly, if you're booking vacation time to play a singleplayer game, you are too hyped over it.

i could understand for WoW Classic relaunch because everybody is leveling, but singleplayer? C'mon, man!
