From what I see we will be seeing less maps with outlands from this point onward.

Which means there is a chance that District 47 V1 will make a return.. some day..

If it were reduced in what it is, then it'd be more acceptable to be left alone.

But PSI is presented as this huge neutral faction, with the capability for loads of possible science to be done and yet very few actually want to do it. It also manages to get away with taking up fairly large portions of the map dedicated to placing down fancy science props that'll likely only be seen by either the handful of people that work there, or the few people that occasionally walk inside for whatever reason (which is almost always medicinal).

If you wanna have a big pro-science faction, then you'd do better converting PSI into a faction of Medics and Doctors rather than one of scientists. Medicinal and pharmaceutical science is far more useful to the Resistance, and people would be more tolerant of the props if you had them focused on a more hospital-style theme. Stretchers, IV stands, Vitals Monitors, that sort.
i have no intention of changing psi to accommodate for rebels, because the entire concept of science for rebels in the first place is shit you see in the main games, you see teleportation, you see robots, you see sticky bombs that turn striders into spaghetti

that stuff is interesting to me, that's the sort of stuff that i want to see happen but, naturally given the environment at times it's a bit difficult to find a reason to create sticky bombs go boom.

doesn't mean i'm not going to try and find unique avenues, as i already have

also my prop limit is exceeded by some of the other factions on server, i think props are beyond my main issue, now

my laboratory is suction cupped to the main rebel fortress and it's accessed extremely frequently, not occasionally

when there are people like rabid, subeh, sasha, candle, helping psi out, i see a lot of what i wish it could be

it isn't something i aim to give up on, i'm confident a day will come where like-minded people help me with psi and turn it from my own personal project into something that has a day-to-day, hard hitting impact on what happens

The CCC is a good thing because it allows cops to present themselves as human beings and voice their concerns instead of talking to the robo-bitch (dispatch).

All PSI does is sit around taking up the edict limit whilst occasionally making antidotes for black headcrab attacks.

Or have a single pet houndeye that pops up infrequently and serves no purpose outside of looking funny

I mean if PSI did something impactful like make a defense system that isn't just a femAI camera, then it'd be more pertinent to include in the new maps

but with all those computer and camera props, it seems like no research actually gets done.
tbh the "research" we did with OMD was pretty boring and asspulled. Like we made litteral droids but most of the "roleplay" which we did to implement and develop the droids was just occasionally meeting and talking about some shit we oocly had no clue how worked before somehow coming to a conclusion that one part of the droids had been completed.

What I'm tryna say is that in order to do something cool with science you have to kinda "powergame" the shit out of the research phase- You don't actually need the laboratory, it just looks cool. I mean it's not like someone stands in there doing any /me's of researching anything... right?

Just have an off-site research facility that you icly do your research in; You can even put it in an eventbox if there is one.

then it defo needs to be re-written or re-worked or something because their current form of being nexus-lingering people who can do things above cops' authorisations isn't gonna cut it this time around chief

the past times i've done my research essays (char auth shit) i've done a plethora of rp figuring out how it works and why it does, it makes doing that sort of thing fun

like my drones, i disassembled a synth scanner and was basically toying about with it for around 30 minutes to an hour, rping figuring out how the dark energy jet at the back had it lift up and move about, and i then transferred that rp into a 'research essay' which i basically used for my "how did your character learn this (2000 letter or less)" question

no offence bro but do it yourself and see how easy it is to make something and reel people in without a very ambitious focus. they might as well sign up for the UM.

i find these types of characters more interesting, like the lad that'd make his bedroom into a makeshift clinic to treat people for cop shootings under the radar but its still not easy to found a group on anything that isn't framed to let anyone be anyone or you're appealing to an extreme niché.

that being said I think PSI tech is a more successful UIL than the UIL faction lol

The CCC has the same authority as CAB, and only consults OSD when it comes to authorizations for stuff.

we're explicitly trying to rid the server of 'power factions'

ccc only ever existed because of cab and osd, so either re-write it or remove it
