why don't y'all just... give it a try... and not just a "i'm going to try and find as many issues with the map and complaints as possible regardless of how menial and stupid they are" but a "let's just roleplay but in a different location" try

you know like, a genuine attempt

is that an implication that people haven't been giving this a try? I mean for the most part this event's had a steady pop of 30-60, i don't think people haven't been giving it a try

i know i meme about it being tiring that people complain, but it's also well within their right to. if someone doesn't like what they're seeing on paper than they're more than entitled to speak about that, regardless of whether or not others think its warranted.

if it ticks you off that much that people are complaining, you can quite easily just not watch the thread or even go a step further and forum ignore the people who are doing it

the fact of the matter is that people will always complain about something they see on paper, especially when they've spent a very long time playing at a community that has a horrible history of fucking things up in execution

You just proved exactly what I meant

Mate people been busting their asses to get events to try new maps and locations and now even before it's tried they just cast it aside. This community has a horrible history of fucking things up in execution I guess it's worth a try then regardless isn't it? Cause clearly, anything studied on paper never goes as expected.

You took 6 words and made them into a huge post about me not liking people's complaints, but here you are complaining about my... Complaint?

I'm just proposing, if the situation is this bad why not just give stuff an unprejudiced try? Cause whether the map is good or not, people who are against it will sometimes try to prove how bad it is even if they find out they were wrong - That's what I'm talking about, as someone who's seen it multiple times already (not just with map, but other things too). So to all of them, why not just go a bit with the flow and then find ways to enjoy the map? I've even seen some people pull these complaints, manage a change in the end, and one year after they fill the screenshot thread with happy nostalgia posts from said map and stuff. Do things fuck up in execution or is most of it people who were against it to begin with trying to convince themselves it's bad and then going on a nostalgia trip a year after?

it wasn't so much me complaining about you complaining, i was just trying to point out the fact that regardless of what you try to say or do people are still going to complain, and the people who get irritated by that complaining are much better off just ignoring it instead of trying to fight it

if people want to spam-post complaints then that's their prerogative? it doesn't have to effect you, or anyone.

the other thing i was trying to point out is the fact that i don't blame people for pre-emptively complaining, because a lot of people here have given neb very many chances and a lot of them have been ruined.

yes; people do put a lot of time and effort into these things, but it also takes a lot of time and effort to give it a chance. and when most of us are now older with a lot of responsibilities, it can be very frustrating when we spend that time giving it a chance and it amounts to very little/a headache. we arent 14-18 y/o's with nothing to do beyond school anymore.
