That explains alot, you haven't unziped the files lol, do you have winrar? Or 7zip? Might want to extract the models, they're currently compacted.
Then they should contain the models and materials and other folders that follows B)

did you actually click render for the DOF on the second one?

regardless, there's so much empty space above the people and the lighting is very bland and boring, try experimenting with lamps (specifically lamps, not lights) of varying softness to create more cinematic looking poses
