I’d recommend the HTC Vive due to the fact you get the base stations, plus if you ever want to upgrade to the Index / Index controllers it would be alot cheaper and the index controllers aren’t compatible with the Oculus.

I disagree entirely. Valve overprices their hardware. The HTC Vive had screen door issues that are fixed in newer VR models like the Rift S or the Index.

I‘m leaning towards the Oculus Rift S rn.

Get the Rift S, seriously. It's so liberating to not need base cameras mounted on your wall.
