a lot of neo-communists will go on about how china and the ussr weren't really communist, which is partially true. but communism relies on the hope that the citizens won't be greedy. people are greedy in this era so it could never function in our current state.

I'm not saying that everyone gets to be fed even in western society, however in most communist countries you are expected to wait in a line for literary anything, food, vehicles etc. which is not really present here in the west.

The problem with greedy part is that you don't even have to be greedy. In a communist society, you can work as hard as you want and you still recieve the same as someone who might not work as hard. There's the difference.
Also, it is in human nature to strive for well being.

It does matter how many perished, however if it were even a single person who died under a direct order aimed at the population from the government, it would still class the country as criminal.

If people are allowed photos and gifs of Stalin to be used as profile picture, are pictures and gifs of Hitler also allowed?

I'm simply considering the fact that objectively, Stalin was the worse person and caused more death.
