I mean, I know in a sense that Frundtech RP has become sort of a meme in the community, in the sense of it being hyped up in the start and dying quickly after, but I do genuinely think that it is a great gamemode that needs figure out which part of it is toxic. Having played QZRP and a few diffierent variations of it, I believe the toxic element is the player controlled mutants (I mentioned this earlier but I am trying to elaborate). I think that if the head staff considered trying it again, it should without player controlled mutants and there should be an event staff setting the world up in such a way, that players HAVE to work together in order to get anything done. I strongly believe that this apocalyptic setting requires a COOPERATIVE (not every man for himself) narrative for it to work. The playerbase should be able to create their own government, assisted by an initial military remnant and police force which would rely on the local population to be trained up as a militia, in order to replace their numbers as the original members eventually die out from dark world that the setting is in. The Frundtech corporation should be introduced as a sort of late game adversary once the playerbase have created a functional goverment type, acting in a sense like OTA when they sweep rebel territory. They should be a counter-force to the playerbase as a whole, kidnapping lone-wolf scavengers to conduct experiments on them, attacking expeditions as they gather supplies for the town and so on.
The playerbase should basically be travelling from location to location (maps), in order to gather resources for their newly founded society in the apocalypse. Fighting hordes of monstrous creatures as they try to overrun it and starve it out. It should be like citizen rp but with the playerbase being given way more freedom to conduct business, engage in combat (with NPCs or players they have a conflict with, if they can dodge the law that is). There needs to be some sort of alternative to the CWU in that universe, something that sets up objectives for the playerbase to achieve. Building farms, digging wells, constructing town walls and guard towers, creating factories for ammunition production from raw materials and so on. It needs to be an US (The playerbase) vs THEM (NCP monsters, event-characters, mutants, Frundtech ect.).
