Nah it’s more so about sexuality mate.

So to my understanding people go through the transformation to feel more comfortable in their skin, right?

So like, if you’re a guy who becomes a girl, who becomes a lesbian to be with girls. I guess that just confuses me, you know?

And I’m not trying to be harsh. Lick fanny, suck dick do whatever you want. I just don’t understand the need for the downstairs transformation at that part.

in my understanding (think i mentioned it a lil bit in my response to moonglow) it's literally entirely to feel comfortable in their skin and feel or look physically like the person they know they are or want to be. The whole point of changing what's downstairs is so that you don't feel like and normal...then look down and see you still have a dick, or a vagina. Like if all you want is to not be a girl or a guy and you need to keep looking at your genitalia not reflecting that (whilst also being a pretty big part of the b/s 'what makes a man/woman' argument) you can kinda see why so many trans people go through the surgeries to get downstairs changed.

I don't know 100%, i'm literally just going from my own knowledge and the times @Akula throws straight facts at me

it's important to seperate gender and sexuality as seperate entities imo, as literally one of the most toxic ideas I had to force out of my brain regarding transitioning was "I'm a woman I HAVE to date men because thats what women do!" because it's a pretty absurd argument to make because it'd argue that cis gay and lesbians shouldn't exist, and the point of transitioning wasn't to better "fit" a sexuality, it was to feel correct in myself and not wake up every day wanting to kill myself because who I was on the outside was the opposite of who I really was on the inside, sexuality had nothing to do with it

I'd like to add on to something you said @Nömad <3 - there are unfortunately people who do exploit these 'circles' (LGBT for example) for unsavoury reasons and it gives everyone a bad rap even if its about as far from the majority as you can possibly get. Its the same way you have certain absolutely disgusting groups (like MAP or NAP or whatever they're known as) trying to involve themselves and get in under the banner which skeeves everyone the fuck out.

oh God trust me i know, and it's why it's even more important to get information out about stuff.
I have a bunch of great photos i took in the D.C. natural history museum on an exhibition they did on HIV and other diseases and during the 80's campaigns one protest motto that stuck with me was 'Silence is death' for them literally because it was the choice between tell people you have a very fucking bad disease and be a social outcast, or don't tell anyone and stay as you are.

There are some despicable people in the world, people who try to take advantage of this new resurgence in identity politics and LGBT acceptance and it's terrible. Like you said the MAP guys are literally just pedophiles trying to argue that wanting to fuck and touch kids (including you bloody loli lovers) is justified as a sexuality and as who they are. Minor Attracted People are just pedophiles trying to use the situation of growing acceptance and trying to piggyback off the LGBT movement. It's why silence is death - we have to call people out on all their shit, gay or not, keep an eye out for people trying to use the circles for devious purposes (like i could make a whole thread on the migrant trafficking and forced labour of gay and lesbian and trans prostitutes, especially in asian countries ironically, but that's for another time)

Thankfully rabid like everyone i know once you explain what 'MAP' is to them and just spell it out it clicks in their head that it's a pedo trying to fly under the radar. Never even met someone online that defends MAP people which is surprising because those kinda people seem to love letting their voice be heard.

I think the best way for me to put it simple is. Transgender is not a sexual orientation but more of an Identity to the person, and you got Gay Trans and Straight Trans, I mean people find Bi-sexuals more comfusing for some reason.

oh yeah that too. Like if someone's bi (and Pan people too for this matter somewhat) and they date a girl, well then fuck i didn't know you were straight! And if they date a guy people go 'but i thought you were bi?'

Slightly off the rails but mate i just spent 4 weeks working for an audit company and realizing just how fucked up Malaysia, Indonesia and China are about their people. Just casually using trafficked, forced and child labour, suppressing freedoms and stuff. It actually made me wanna read more into the state of Malay people and reading that the newer generation is doing a lil something about it is honestly so nice to hear. Honestly Tera never thought the country was so...interesting in regards to rights and views and stuff by just seeing you around the forums.

It's still considered rather bad when including the general population's perception of it, we're still a long way from making actual progress.
It might be many decades still before something major has change.
Just to give you context, the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Mahathir stated that Malaysia will not have the LGBT rights as the western countries. His daughter, Marina is a social activist, one of which involving LGBT issues where she's fighting against the discrimination of the LGBT population in Malaysia. Hopefully a generation or two y'know?
