my dad made me a deal

if i can train my dog to stop barking at the birds of an evening, which he does every single afternoon for hours on end

i can get two guinea pigs, provided i pay for it

i have a few tricks up my sleeve to stop him from barking at them;

• rewarding him for keeping his attention on me and not on them
• verbally scolding him (that means a firm voice, not yelling)
• redirecting him with toys

if anyone has any other ideas let me know because i wANT GUINEA PIGS FOR FUCKS SAKE

majority of the barking has been quelled, small snippets occasionally but im going to solve that by swapping their walk time to the afternoon rather than the morning

dad says if i can pull that off my end of the bargain has been fulfilled
