You're entirely uninformed yourself. HL3 may exist but it makes no sense for Valve to announce or release the game, they make far more money on their Steam platform and the marketplace than they could ever hope to earn from HL3; It also has a lot of hype and would likely damage their reputation unless it was a perfect game which is impossible. Might wanna do your own research.

As I said, I misunderstood his post. I was also trying to link him to a source that has some videos on why HL3 has not been released, not why it should be released.

As long as the default maps are good I don't even mind DLCs. BF4 default maps were shit and I wasn't gonna pay extra just to enjoy the game that I already bought for 60$.
