To be honest.
For the longest while I thought the video was a joke.

And after going through it and seeing the ""hidden"" meanings, I think people are looking TOO deep into this.

every artist has a style, gambino has his own style, this wasn't his style at all, just felt like some sort of medley of rappers today.

idk, this just didn't suit his general genre, kinda just felt too forced, i get that it was some "rebellious" rap against america but it just didn't suit his style or tone at all

I don't understand? What is his style? It seems to me every album his style is different to the point it could be considered either a different genre or subgenre. Why is this any different? This is a great song made much better by the depth and meaning in the song.
