without wanting to start an argument - a user on the verge of unwittingly starting an argument.

remove ___ - a user about to post about something they vehemently disagree with, may or may not come with talking points, additional ranting or spiteful responses.

I am for this however - a user either succinctly laying out points to respond to another user's position, or thoroughly mocking them for believing in something.

If you think the community wouldn't - rabidmaggot93 ascribing select user's beliefs or actions to the entire community of thousands of random people who never come to a single consensus when polled twice.

without wanting to start an argument, remove this thread. if you think the community wouldn't use it to undermine what little good faith is left in the average discussion, you haven't been paying attention to 2016 industrial 17 harry BMD lead era.

I am for this however

era - signifies significant shifts in prior community thinking, beliefs and notable users. a notable 'era' is '2016', a year frequently associated with milk-drowning racialist penny-pinching terrorist characters called 'rebels' and brutal fingernail-pulling, quote cherrypicking and occasional rodney king impersonator thugs known as 'civil protection' who perform the duties of los angeles traffic police. members who never left this year include simman102.

The meaning of ratings, as quite a few are used in different meanings despite their apparent meaning. Correct me on that.

Nebulous: "I apport to your rating because I agree or found your post funny", also abreviated 'Neb' or 'Neb rating'.

Agree: Either a stronger version of 'Nebulous' for opinions, or 'Nebulous' rating but don't want to neb you.

Disagree: "I disagree with your opinion or decision but with respect."

Funny: Common Simman102 reaction to anything opposing his Principle (Refer to 'It's about the principle' in earlier posts).

Good idea: Actually a good idea, usually a substitute to 'Nebulous' to people who don't want to neb. Otherwise, a reverse day version of 'Bad idea'.

Bad idea: Another form of 'Disagree', used less as 'Dumb' (refer below) tends to be used more.

Zing: Indicates a fast reaction by the poster (such as finishing something very quickly) or indicates a very late times post.

Informative: Another non neb worthy reaction to something useful, or used to indicate a useless take.

Friendly: Another non neb neb, tends to be used when the poster really doesn't want nebs. Also used to indicate aggresiveness from the poster.

Useful: Rarely used, almost always used genuinely as is.

Optimistic: Indicates an unrealistically optimistic view on something. Also to indicate naivety.
EX: "Syntax will get OTA. Rated optimistic."

June usage indicates a Neb within pride month, or simply a more homosexual vibe within the post.

Creative: Also rarely used. Probably used without irony.

Late: Similar to 'Zing'. Rarely used.

Bad spelling: Either to indicate blantant lack of undertanding of the default Nebulous dot cloud language, as english, or simply a nitpick on very subtle inneficiencies.

Dumb: A worse version of 'Disagree' it with more spite out of it, toxicity in response from any party is expected.

Dumb truck: Worse than 'Dumb', either to really indicate a bad post, or it is out of spite from the rater. The 'Dumb Truck' is as dumb as the rater and the poster.

Bonus terms:

The what now?: A phrase commonly used in response to anything written containing the words 'Union', or 'Universal', not to be confused with the Universal Union, whom small minds call the Combine.

...

Wait, not to be confused with the what now?

your list is either flat out wrong in some parts or I just disagree in how you describe their use case. so i'm rewriting it. Also missing some lore here

Nebulous: Effectively the 'Upvote' of the forum. You get points which are displayed under your name. Funny posts or good suggestions are nebbed. Less useful than getting lemons if you ask me.

Agree: Seen during suggestions or arguments. Where you don't quite want to give someone points or you just want to make it very clear that you Really agree with someone.

Disagree: A polite way to say No. Considering the other options available.

Funny: If someone actually found your post funny, they would have nebbed it. Otherwise this is mostly sarcastic or a "You're joking, right?" reaction.

Good/Bad Idea: Only really seen in Suggestion threads. Self explanatory

Zing: When a post is witty or shuts down an opposition almost immediately, rarely do you see such posts with more than 10 zings. But you'll understand when you see one.

Informative: Unless the post is quite literally a PSA/Community Announcement that people are "neutral" on you typically only see Informative used as a begrudging 'acknowledgement'. Where they're not going to neb or dumb you. But want you to know they've read your post but won't reply to it either.

Friendly: Most posts that warrant a friendly also typically get nebbed. So if there's only Friendly ratings on a post, then it's most likely either a Resignation or some wholesome interaction (typically a public apology).

Useful: Similar in function to Informative. Sometimes seen on technical threads. It can also be used sarcastically for something completely useless.

Optimistic: Someone who is usually relatively new to the community makes a post that holds a certain level of innocence. The rating usually is a disagree to the post, and typically has meaning behind its usage.

Creative: A layover from the days of 'Artistic' (Used as a way to say Autistic in some circles). Typically does not refer to art in the slightest, and usually to insult people who make something awful. Because if it were actually good - they would have been Nebbed.

Late: Typically a repost of a meme.

Bad Spelling: The person's post is formatted awfully. Also used in flame wars where you're basically saying "Nice Argument, but unfortunately minor spelling mistake."

Dumb: The opposite of a Neb. They actively take away Nebulous points. You posted something so bad that it causes a negative reaction.

Dumb Truck: Used to be the Premium version of Dumb. For Premium uses to use I guess. Same as a Dumb.

Winner: A relic of what once was.

Quill: Fabled to be bestowed on the best posts.
