I was not captivated nor thrilled about Ajin as many were. From the start it left a bad taste in my mind which, for critical basis is typically unfair, however. For me, the well executed premise was just polluted with lack of any meaningful characterization other than Satou, again, may have been the point. However, that does not cut it for me.

Sadly enough, I did think that Ajin was a better Tokyo Ghoul without the pontification of literary cliches - despite the latter getting much higher praise because of the poor reception of former's visuals.
