MMO's like to reuse models, lol. Blizzard does it a lot, try levelling through any Xpac you'll see the same guy a thousand times. :P

This is why I don't play or endorse retail anymore.

you need to do a lot more farming for those potions after the patch.

And RAF isn't permanent.

Although I agree, it's a lot easier to level up now, not sure if that's even the point you're trying to make.

:heyzeus: even without RAF or Potions I can get to ALMOST level 10 in the Starting area of the starting area.

I don't mind it being easier to level up. It's to put less of a strain on players and appealing to a wider playerbase by reducing the gap from past glories in the game, namely reducing experience required from past content (When Burning Crusade launched, the total experience required from 20-60 was reduced by a fair amount, same thing for the next expansion in terms of 61-70.

What matters is that it has become obvious by the video's flow that nothing before 100 matters. You can start a character and kill everything in 1-2 hits in the first several levels. Dungeons are finished in about 5-15 minutes compared to the average time being 30-60 minutes in the past. Everything has been adjusted for solo play. A lot of things are in the game just so you can easily engage whatever you're doing. Let's not forget the fact that they went past one whole expansion in one dungeon - the fact that it is even possible through XP potions and the like irritates me. Heirlooms were already an indication towards the doom we have now.

I compare today's WoW to nothing more than a flash game on Facebook. With the changes to the layout, Garrisons and the unchallenging world gameplay you see, the feeling of accomplishment has completely faded.

Well I understand what you mean by less strain on players and shit, however, making it fuck ton easier to level absolutely killed the social aspect of World of Warcraft. Guilds are pretty much useless unless you're a raider or PVPer, or just wanna by crap from the guild vendor.
I played on Nostalrius and Kronos Vanilla and the difficulty was so high that kobold diggers were considered Lich King HC 25 man so everybody got together in groups and guilds to help each other out. Now days World of Warcraft feels like a singleplayer game in which you don't need to interact with a player at all.

I played on Nostalrius too - reaching 60 about two weeks prior to the shutdown notice.

But yes, I fully agree with you in terms of the social aspect. Nobody speaks to each other anymore, be it whatever thing you are doing. The cross-realm phasing zones attempted to fix the issue, but I guess it only promoted a "stranger" aspect to each player, mainly because at the time it was introduced, it was not easily possible to keep in contact with people across realms, let alone even doing things.

But hey, if you think kobold diggers were bad, I think you're forgetting Defias Pillagers pre-nerf. Those guys were insane. Westfall had some of the most dangerous enemies in WoW history. (They were nerfed on Nostalrius)

Imo I don't mind people being able to level up quickly, the only way a new player would be able to level up quickly is if they get the refer a friend boost. So new players will still have to level as everyone else, though levelling will be easier then it was in vanilla and BC levelling is boring and the game actually starts at max levels. I'd go nuts levelling new toons considering I've already got 3 toons to max level. And 3 isn't even a lot, levelling is boring especially if you've done it before.
