Serious Your 2020 in review!

So why not? 2020 has been a shit year for just about everyone - between the constant world drama and the Coronavirus lockdown and everything else going on. I lost my nan to cancer and have suffered a few health scares.

But I also met some of the people I now consider my closest friends. I fixed a lot of things about myself I wasn't too happy with. I've devoted my time to my family and spending time with them. It may have been a hard year but I like to think I did a lot of good amidst all that.

caught covid, then everyone else in my house did, got way too far behind academically, lost most of my friends, & some other stuff i’m not talking about here

but my brother’s made a recovery from the clusterfuck he’s been going through the last 2 years so that’s good

idk fuck this year
i just don’t care to make any predictions about next year honestly

i was constantly depressed and hardly ever happy, nearly killed myself on several occasions and was brought with nothing but disappointment every time i tried to strive to be happy. several of my friends were outed as pedophiles and several more were groomed by pedophiles and i couldnt help a single one of them. i was rejected by someone i felt something for after 3 years of having a crush on them and now it feels like everyone hates me. 2020 stunk in the worst way humanly possible and i cannot fathom reliving that nightmare. but 2021 is gonna be no different because a 1 at the end of 202 doesn't change how awfully manipulative the world is and it won't reverse how awful the previous year was.

doing great in school for the first time in my life
feeling like a better and improved human
new hobbies, greater interest in physical activity and the outdoors
really getting settled in after going from a tiny 3 room apartment to a giant house
new friends!

so yeah, a really good year for me. pandemic didn't really impact me much other than I have to take online classes.

My successes drifted as days flew by quickly,
Politics & people nearly drove me batshit insane,
Now I am all alone neglecting the study,
While I stay awake during the nights.

I hope this year actually is interesting, if not at least kills us all.

got a job for the first time

stopped working due to covid

on one hand, i've improved my fitness, started a new course, started learning a couple of languages too

on the other hand, haven't been able to actually go out and do anything, dating is a no-go because I don't wanna put family at risk if I end up catching rona

the last couple of years have been more than a little rough, so honestly 2020 was an improvement for me personally, but the pandemic hasn't helped
