oh god, a box of 20 rounds for at least 30 dollars.
god damn, thirty bucks per box at a minimum

its going to cost me damn near half the cost of the rifle to get comfortable with it.

why are there no bulk deals on this shit???
wouldnt be surprised if the biden ammo price surge effected you guys tbh. but even so -- it's a BIG BULLET!!!! more $$$

it has certainly. lots of stuff is either overpriced or out of stock. online deal got me paying 37 cents each for 1000 rounds.

Splurged 75$ on my gun license, 200$ on my gun club membership, 250$ on a safe, and 370$ on 1000 rounds of ammo, and then 1000$ on my pistorelo.

Will post pics within the week once UPS delivers it.

Also, if anyone here hunts, I'd like a decent recommendation for a beginner hunting caliber. I'm pretty committed to getting a Mauser M18, considering it's relatively cheap, lightweight and solid quality for a beginner rifle. These are the caliber options:
.223 Rem., .243 Win., .270 Win., 6,5x55, 6,5 PRC, 6,5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, .30-06 Sprg, 8x57 IS, 9,3x62, 7mm Rem., .300 Win. Mag.

It'll be a long way until I actually go hunting, but it's probably best to be good with the rifle before trying to shoot living animals with it.

It's strange to me as somebody who believes in the philosophy that if you're government doesn't trust you with firearms, then you shouldn't trust of your government.

I've been doing digging and it seems to me as if no Asian countries allow private ownership of firearms.

I don't just distrust my government, I also despise it effectively as they are curbing our civil liberties.

I imagine you’re speaking in Canadian dollars but if you go on wikiarms there’s a few websites that have 20 rounds for 25 USD dollars

I almost purchased 600 bullets of 10mm (literal bullets like the ones for reloading) because they were listed under the ammunition section for half what regular ammo goes for. For once I’m grateful for the fact you can’t buy handgun ammo under 21

question to americans or people that are familiar with the laws or whatever

saw a video of a guy with a machine gun, he’s got an extensive criminal record (and i thought you couldn’t get a gun license with one, especially a machine gun, i mean he killed someone)

is it legal to own shit like this? I mean like even if u dont have a criminal record i thought machine guns were banned

i know this isnt really the threads point but was just curious about it

You actually can legally, they just have to have been registered before 1986. They’re also in the tens of thousands of dollars because they’re relatively rare and require many background checks

-friends can give them to you to act like you own it for a video
-you can probably get around these things via law work (imagine if the case got thrown out) or elsewise
-could straight be illegal anyways

got it in the mail a couple days ago but i was banned for defending the elderly's right to live

tydQXHb.jpg

tried disassembling it to switch the mag release to no avail because either a) baby hands b) afraid to damage gun c) this is the first firearm i've ever tried to disassemble

you are supposed to pull down on the two tabs right above my finger that is on the trigger of an unloaded and magless gun.

oh, you see that finger on the trigger? we do a little trolling.

costed 999.99$

edit: nevermind, i managed to disassemble it.
still fucked with mag release, might not have the right size. need a 1mm punch and i don't have that lol

please don't tell me you have owned and fired guns before this
no, never owned one before.

i put off getting a license for years and only got it this year.

i've fired other people's guns though.

list on the top of my head
Norinco colt
Colt commander
Tokarev
Mossberg 500
Colt 1911 (vintage)
SKS
Remington 700 in .223 and .308
Henry in .44
S&W M&P
Walther PPQ M2
CZ Shadow PS-1(?)
GSG MP5 clone in .22, semi.
Mares' Leg
Ruger revolver in .45 colt
Benelli Nova

its a fun learning process. i think more people would be interested in physics and engineering if they were more upfront about it being important if you want to learn how to gunsmith and design firearms.

if it were up to me, people should be forced to disassemble, clean and re-assemble guns before shooting them

can't be expected to carry a weapon safely if you can't even disassemble it to clean it and prevent powderburns

as long as they get cleaned, i don't think it matters that you're taking a pal out to the range to shoot. i think having them clean your gun first before they shoot it is pretty counter-productive if you're going to try and get people interested in the sport of it.

Knowing how the gun functions and operates is one of the most important factors to safety

Disassembling and assembling it with the person you are teaching helps make the new shooter comfortable with the gun, by obtaining knowledge of it

If they feel comfortable with it, they won't be nervous, and if they aren't nervous fewer mistakes occur
