I think it said that an escape is planned to happen but the players themselves could do it earlier than planned if they manage (I think)

but why would we want to escape earlier if we know the escape is guaranteed?

Maybe they have plans for the outside sooner, maybe they just wanna be the first, maybe they wanna help the rebels sooner, cant rly go into so many details

Not sure, I always kind of figured the combine were improvising after the place exploded, citadel felt more like a monument to their domination so I don't imagine they anticipated any post-war threats posing a risk.

Iirc when Freeman destabilised the core and blew up the portal at the top they decided to blow the reactor fully to brute-force another super portal to get reinforcements.

all right so im curious regarding the possible ages our characters can have
assuming that the suppression field was set up the same year as the establishment of the civil administration (2002), then the youngest possible age we could be would be like, 20-21 right? unless it was set up later.
but was there a highest age one could be before the combine thought they were no longer useful to society and executed them?

im not a lore master or expert on human behaviour or anything but if an alien empire came around and proceeded to defeat the combined might of every nation's armed forces in a mere 7 hours then id feel powerless to do anything to oppose their policies on human reproduction. bothered, for sure, but powerless.

regardless, my main question isnt about whether the combine is "no sex" or not, i am mainly concerned with what ages are acceptable for our characters to have.
