OK, we have cool solution and all.

Now this isn't the question of what to do.
The question becomes who to replace by who exactly. And most importantly: WHEN?

We are going circles around with this and now We are 10 pages too many to do a thing at all.

And, I highly doubt I would go for RL even if I was offered that (Optimistic).

The kind of role I see at RLs just make me think of them more as tools than leaders or characters in the first place. But that's another topic for another thread.

Now, you staff think and give a clear verdict, or I'll judge you mentally.

while I don't want to add more to this absolute onslaught of well justified anger towards the Rank Leaders, I do want to add that in spite of every part of me wanting to get up and continue to play the server and engage with it's storyline and the other players, the absolute misery I've felt when dealing with my own command has fucking killed me anytime I hover my mouse over the join server button

Please fix this all so I can actually play the server again.

Naw pull the trigger on it and put someone reasonable in the lead. Cop faction management should always and only be an OOC project, and they should be left to do whatever Lord of the Flies shit they want imo

They don’t have to be gamer gods, just reasonable RP appreciators with an IQ above 50

I'm not remotely using it as a whataboutism, you just missed the point entirely.

I'm saying it because if @Numbers can go from being the best headcop the faction ever had to fucking miserable and bitter by the last event of 1.0, what does that say about what the community perception is?

You're just gonna end up with a new generation of cop players who either say nothing until they're bitter too or feel like the only people they can talk to are others who feel the same.

Either sort both now while the iron is hot or sort one and see the cycle repeat again and again and again as it always has.

u realize oneclassybanana was an RL right
you could say sasha was forced out, but i dont know who the other second one is..


the options are pretty scarce for active candidates that are ready to do admin work (like logchecking for activity, PSAs to the degree that @RedMan does, etc)

All the more reason we get capable people who ARE WILLING to compromise, who ARE WILLING to see things through other's perspectives, who ARE WILLING to do things that wasn't written down in a guide from 2016 co-written by a bunch of rune enthusiasts and closet racists (excluding some like key, baker, erid, etc).

Once civpro has been sorted out, the insurgency can be directed to do the same; you can't herd cats while your cows are busy causing traffic accidents to motorists on the only road nearby.

well would've been a good option - but seriously, the one advantage this setting has is that Civil Protection literally doesn't need an on-server faction leader besides administrative stuff

just like rebels

taking a step back and just letting CPs do whatever the fuck they want with no IC leadership presence besides maybe OTA would be a step in the right direction imo

Nobody in the Ultraloyalist circle gives a fickle about CPOG, just the creepy power trip old guard.

I find it so funny none of their RL "characters" have any ideological commitment or even seem to like the Combine or its institutions, Cop has always just been a means to fetishise fascist aesthetic and ruin everybody else's fun

it would, means it's less high maintenance- kind of what we already let the rank leaders do though

sasha's OBC cult was herded by sasha, le "old guard paleoconservatives" had their own dudes, etc.

the problem is i'm not sure who collectively actually wants to take up the mantle of resolving RL/any cop's schisms, rogue apps, faction apps, log checking, possibly event catering, etc.


and who exactly are you guys screaming to be replaced here? because the RLs themselves are playing characters, they don't lead the faction on an OOC basis like ovxy does, and they grant and deny different things based on their own decisionmaking
