Well, that's a good point. Unfortunately you have this intricate situation, where certain movements in the Left side of the political spectrum want to pardon everything because certain people are "oppressed", this pisses the people on the every side of the spectrum, pushes both sides apart and so on... then it repeats, because they will say of each other they're extremists and back and forth.

ALL OF THE ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS HAVE VIOLENCE AND EVIL IN IT IN ORDER TO COMPEL FOLLOWERS TO OBEY THE ~HOLY BOOK~. THIS APPLIES TO JEWS, MUSLIMS, AND CHRISTIANS.

Be it killing apostates, forced conversions, stoning non-virgin newly wed wives, stoning adulturers, killing homosexuals, killing those who eat shellfish, killing those who wear clothes of two different threads, selling your sister/daughter/wife into slavery, etc.

I'm on the job so I don't have all day to start quoting every part of the torah, bible, or quran to point out various parts where it condones or explicitly invokes violence as a means to an end. Another user surely will.

Or you can go read your own book. I read mine when I was Catholic before I bailed, at least I did my homework.

Sharia law is not uniform, like Canon law is. Sharia law can vastly differ between various Muslim nations and communities.

I say Canon law is uniform because it is dictated by the pope. Sharia law is prescribed generally based on who is in power at the time in a specific area. Islam doesn't necessarily have a central authority for their religion like Christianity does (Although it's mostly Catholics who follow the Pope, most other sects still defer to his words and rulings).

Disclosure: As part of my duties as an officer of the Diplomatic Security Services, I've had to deal with refugees. I think there's also an evolutionary issue at play here. The west has meddled way too much into middle eastern affairs, promoting Saudi Arabia which is a massive exporter of extremist ideology, the continued unwavering support of Israel, the repeated bombings and invasions, the meddling on part of the USSR, us fucking with Iran, Trump just starting shit, so on so on.

Right now they're going through a rough patch that many religions or even countries do. Islam is basically Christianity's more extreme little brother. Crusades aside, Christianity wasn't pretty at one point, they shit on all the Jews and Muslims in the Iberian peninsula, Christianity is at fault for the raping and pillaging of the natives of Latin America, so on so on.
