Hello Everyone who's reading this thread.
I'm just curious of how many individuals in this forums actually regularly go to the gym (not once a week).
And what's their end game ? I'm currently still on my keto diet while working out six days a weeks.

My current routine. (Arms and Shoulders as well as other smaller muscle groups such as trapezoids)

- Warming up. Basics, such as stretching out and driving on my stationary bike.
- Pulling up and muscle ups. (Every time I start my workout I start with pulling up since I won't have enough energy if I go through my entire workout and then attempt to preform my pullups) I usually do the wide grip pull up 20x times before changing the grip.

Depending on the day I'll do the muscle groups required. - Example, Upper body.

I'll start with doing bicep curls (barbell) - Overall weight is 40KG for 11 reps, 4x times.
without taking a break I'll quickly use a pulley with 35KG to train my triceps. I'll do the same reps as my biceps. I also change the grip on the bar from wide to short grip to stimulate the inner and the outer bicep.

I use dumbbells while sitting (and resting my triceps against my knee) to isolate the bicep. I usually have 20KG dumbells while preforming this exercise.

For my shoulders I usually end up doing a Upright row as well as Front raise (20KG), As well as that I do a Barbell Raise.

(I'm currently waiting for my phone to charge for my spotify and will continue writing after I finish working out. - I will write the routine for my back, legs and chest)

I haven't gone to the gym in awhile but I'm considering to start it up again, isn't it a bit overkill to work out 6 days a week though? Isn't your muscles supposed to repair with a one day break in-between workouts?

you train arms on the first day and use the rest day for your arms to do cardio/legs general

literally entry level

One day a week is good for me.

It's whenever you get DOMS, although sometimes it's good to push through. Generally when my muscles ache a day later I just stretch a lot and exercise other parts of my body (legs, abdominals etc) until the pain subsides in my arms. Eating protein speeds up the healing process.

Not much of a gym going person myself, probably go once or twice a month because I get free membership to my local one. Though I think everyone should do light cardio three or four times a week like jogging or cycling, personally a fan of rowing machines myself, I have one in my flat that I do a lot of cardio with and it was horrible to get into at first, but it's definitely something that works your body

Yeah for sure, got a membership at a nearby park (Stanley Park, idgaf I already give out that I live in Blackpool *shrug*) for the lake. I go there once a week and do a few laps in a row boat- bring a packed lunch and a book. It's proper nice apart from the odd motor boat passing by. Cycle there and back even tho my bike is rusted to fuck lol. Gym is good with mates too- pushes you to do more

Swimming is nice though i've always seen it as a pass time personally rather than a form of exercise, something i'd do for fun rather than suffering and body pains :(

thats the great part about it really

you can enjoy yourself and still ""work out"" while doing it plus you don't sweat since u are the oceanman

ah yes but once you are done with school you won't need to cycle and won't be arsed to start doing something else

t. someone who did just that and was a fellow cyclefag for 12 long years

I don't go to the gym, I actually do my workouts at home. Daily I do about 30 sit-ups, 30 second planking, 5 push ups and 5 tricep push-ups. I repeat this process about four times and then on the fifth I do 40 sit-ups, 45 second planking, 10 push-ups and 10 tricep push-ups. I gradually go higher when I feel like I physically can. Oh, also, today I added the sitting workout thing, where you sit without a chair. Did 45 seconds of it per round, on the last round, I did 1 minute, really hurt my legs, jesus.

Edit: Downside to not going to the gym is that you really need to be able to motivate yourself, other than that, it kind of just works out, I suppose. I do these daily since about last month, the month before I got my wisdom teeth removed and lost about 7 kilos cause I couldn't eat anything, now since I lost that much, I thought it was a good idea to start, so I did. I already lost about 13-15 kilos.

I'm getting dejavu of the first time I did squats properly and overdid it to the point where I tried walking up the stairs and ended up just not being able to force my leg to lift me up, then proceeding to fall down the stairs after about three steps.

Don't overdo it kids :(
