Thing is though, you can argue that the knife itself is some kind of bastardised form of Lightbringer. Seeing how it caused so much blood shed and the red wedding (as the attempted assassination on Bran led to the Starks and Lannisters going against each other), where most of Arya's loved ones perished.

Sure she didn't pull out a flaming sword from some dead loved one - the only other way to be described is that she got the knife from Bran, who is to be frank, a dead body compared to his former self.

The knife is also in one of the books Sam stole from the citadel so who knows what's it's main purpose or history is. Will probably be in that prequel show that's apparently planned.

I still think it's a good episode tbh.

This prophecy and lightbringer and all could still hold up, if we find out that the 'darkness' named in the prophecy wasn't the Night King, but rather something else. If that winds up being the case, my money is on it being Bran.

Remember when we saw this in a Bran vision?

Actually a really good episode, had some really good surprises. It goes to show you don't need huge battle set pieces for a good episode since this had really good tension and dialogue.

The next episode has to start right where it left off though with Dany being shot in the back otherwise it won't make any sense like I doubt Cersei would let them go.

I feel like they have to start the next episode off with Dany and her guys being loaded with ballista bolts right there and then as they try to leave. It'd be out of character for Cersei to let them off that easily.

Can't believe my man Jamie just nut and run on Brienne like that;
when he said "I'm hateful" after that whole speech though, that was good.

Better kill Cersei the same way he killed the mad king otherwise his character arc is pretty fuckin dead.

Hound and Arya gonna pull some wacky shit, double assassination or smth on the Mountain and the Hand of the Queen.

I don't think it's out of character for Cersei to NOT kill them when they're walking away, she's all about being a mega threat I think. Wouldn't be surprised if she captured them and powd them maybe.

I bet one by one, the 8 people that know about Jon will slowly die. But I suppose that they'll die really quickly in the last 2 episodes, or that Dany dies anyways.
