Steam goes down weekly despite the amount of money they have to fix that problem, the argument "they have enough money to do X" doesn't mean it happens in an impossible timeframe. Development, QA and testing has to be done for these things because if they push out a feature that removes your game files (or worse) then you'll be even more angry at them (

Valve doesn't have that much of a reason to change whatever it is, most of the stuff people would want or need is already there, Epic couldn't even offer support for the games they offered, people had to go to Steam's support if they wanted any kind of help
subnautica being a prime example, rocket league will probably end the same
They definitely do because they now have a direct competitor and their fans have been crying out for changes for a significant time. Even ourside of changes to the Steam platform they've been crying out for a new Valve game which they've utterly failed to deliver.
Epic do offer support because I've used it.
