i wonder if salty gamers are gonna start refunding their preorders
lets be honest mate people are still gonna play the game lol there'll be uproar just like the last two times and then they play it anyway while groveling about the delays with their mates.

end of the day production costs and salaries and extended devtime is CDPR's money; and if they feel they want to dish out half a year's extra to deliver a better product im pretty ok with that even if it's annoying to be told something and then be told something else later. they could've dropped an unfinished mess on everyone's heads.

when big game steam store really fucky launch day
i preorder one or two days before

waiting for the day-before of cyberpunk too
my vision is augmented
honestly never experienced the steam store bugging on launch days, that is a valid reason actually, but otherwise digital preorders dont make sense to me, would rather wait for initial reviews or buy day one, its not like there are shortages of digital copies

last time i forgot to do the day-before was baldur's gate 3, took me a few hours to push my purchase through. early access game though so I really should've listened to the steam-server warnings.

you gamers remember when you had to drive down to gamestop to buy RATCHET AND CLANK (NEW), some old nostalgia to the drive home - getting that plastic wrap off and popping the disk in. i still do it sometimes because it makes me feel some kind of way.

CDPR is in a no-win situation of their own making. If the game comes out a buggy mess they'll disappoint. If they keep delaying they'll disappoint. If they crunch to finish the game faster, they'll disappoint.

I wish they would do better, but I can't help be feel increasingly disillusioned by the corporate behavior. It's a company, I know, but they had been doing things right for so long, but they have struggled to stay true to their word and have been making some serious missteps leading up to release. More than "please accept our humble apologies" makes up for. I just hope they'll treat their devs reasonably and be honest.

Not angry, just disappointed.

i wanted to work in the game industry for so long but the way the employees are treated is just absolutely horrible and has convinced me otherwise its absolutely fucked
the only job in the game industry that doesnt seem terrible is being on like, a small indie dev team rly

Hey nexus how about you do some of your maths to count up the delayed time

just a bit weird that it seems like even the social media team had no idea

they’re replying to old posts like “well shit, sorry”

Who would presume that a game that focuses upon the exploitation undergone by capiltaist-oriented companies would suffer an extensive downfall at the hands of exploitation undergone by a capitalist-oriented company.

i feel bad for the devs if they truly found out the moment the twitter post was made

imagine having finally some free time but then your employer says "sorry guys, haha, we want to work on some more bugs"

if you were genuinely surprised by this youre a fucking moron
like ive said countless times theyre trying to achieve the impossible task of releasing the perfect game
wouldnt be surprised if it gets delayed AGAIN
