Alplands: Deliverance is a post-occupation HL2RP server set during the reconstruction of the United States.

What was once the American resistance has fractured into thousands of warring communities, fiercely independent and wary of any efforts to form a central government. They are a haven for libertarian militias, petty criminals, ex-rebels, wanted fugitives of the old Combine regime, neo-religious fanatics, and extremists of all varieties. One such community - Silver - has established itself in the Nevada desert, far from the attention of the emerging authority of the land - the reconstructed Federal Government.

The United States of America weathered the occupation in the bunkers of Cheyenne and in the hills of Pennsylvania, along with countless other classified sites. From these redoubts, America endured and directed a war of resistance against the Combine. Now, the Federal Government intends to unify the country - restoring every inch of America’s fifty states. To accomplish this it has formed the Federal Bureau of Reconstruction out of US Army veterans of the uprising, former Combine conscripts, and intelligence personnel. Their purpose is to investigate, negotiate, and pacify all holdouts to government authority. A federal recon company is sent deep into the American hinterland - to Nevada, to the Township of Silver.

Who lives? Who dies? What kind of nation shall rise from this darkness? The choice is yours.

What is this?
It's a week-long event that takes place in an alternative canon, set during the final years of the Liberation War against the Combine.

What is Alplands?
It's a post-occupation setting, and a server that revolves around consistent, survival-based storytelling above all. It's not an open server, it's application-only. It has previously been hosted by Anthology and now, thanks to discussions with Community Management, Alplands is now coming to Nebulous for this short time.

How many players and how are they picked?
Between 20-30 players. Alplands is a survival RP gamemode, so only serious applications are considered for characters. Death comes easily in this setting and it is final so these numbers will likely be thinned quite quickly, prepare for a serious environment where player choices really matter.

What content is needed?
All relevant content will be located in the event server content and those accepted will be notified ahead of time.

You enter an abandoned mall somewhere in the American Mid-West. You don't know where you are, and you are starved for fuel, water and food. This is a last ditch effort - despite the warning of the locals you go to scavenge what remains

The power is on, strange. Equally strange, the old 2 hour long soundtrack of capitalism remains playing over the now-rusted and decrepit speakers. The flickering phosphorescent light catches the dust you kick up, when you enter a store within the deeper section. Practically untouched, it is a relic of civilization-past. Truly, a snapshot of what once was.

Something on the counter captures your attention, candles. Lit candles. You approach it, noticing an old and faded picture - it's a group of people, sure, but it's near unrecognizable.

The break room door croaks shut behind you, you aren't alone.​

The light goes out

You hear scuttling, almost a.. no, it can't be​

whirling.

You light your flashlight, for the first and only time. The face of IT being the last thing, you see before you too become consumed by The Whirler.
