so it's an entirely fictional invasion, right?

so why use the name Highway of Death, when it already has meaning - and it's the direct opposite of what it was used to refer to (a US war crime)

would be like calling the Katyn Massacre a British atrocity

Yeah there's definitely propaganda there, all over, can't deny it.

But you know, good ol' United States. Wouldn't be surprised if Activision had received "encouragement" to produce the story this way. Specially considering there's many hints in the game that point towards the initial idea of it being just like the rest of Modern Warfare games: US and Russia against bullshit.

Who cares lol just play the game and enjoy

It's worrying when politics are pushed that bad into a game.

You can both acknowledge this, and play and enjoy the game as well. They're not incompatible things.

most cod fans dont care about politics

also those who have completed the campaign have even less of a reason to give a shit about it as it's all burkov's doing and he's considered a rogue for going behind moscow's back

There's alot of em in the game and those are the most fun parts of the game. The least fun parts is when you're storming MG guns that are unkillable and you have to flank them.

it's the first day of Stasiland.

The stasi are setting up patrols, the Russians have fortified their garrisons.

The first meeting between the Soviet Commanding Officers and their Stasi counterparts is to take place.

Then somewhere, in a bombed out apartment building..
