in the last remaining hours before the DLC drops, a brief update on my V:

i've completed every gig but dakota's (i hate driving out to the badlands i'm a city slicker), am like 5 xp away from Level 50, barely touched side quests except for Judy's and the Boxing one (which was easy as hell after getting Gorilla Fists), and have acquired a true CEO Mindset. my shotgun build is utterly effective, same for LMGs.

my current build has a high chance of entering fury (i.e. cyberpsychosis) and destroying everything, otherwise adrenaline (that I get through healing) is also capable of destroying everything. one of my perks is faster reloads and other cool stuff by dismembering enemies - i now own a shotgun capable of 120% dismemberment chance.

on hard, the game is easy. only reason i havent switched to very hard is because i dont want bullet sponges and i need more stuff to shoot at, not more tanky guys. i'm gonna stop playing until tomorrow since I don't want to level over 50 to avoid wasting any XP, I wanna keep those for PL :)

i can't play right away since I got an appointment in the morning but the moment I get back from that, CYBERPUNK IT IS BABY

By the way word of warning since the DLC comes out in an hour, it is recommended you finish some companion questline either before starting dog town or at the very least before finishing it. I am not sure why but keep this in mind

I think it's only the ending that counts.

Ending "spoilers" below (nothing story related):
PL adds a new ending, without going into detail: at the end of it, V, similar to the other endings, can call to his old friends and companions before moving on and the game ends not too long after. No other endings are unlocked and it's just a phonecall to basically catch up. Ending is hard to swallow though. Trust me.

I'm having fun so far, though I bet this would suck as a stealth character.

I was a bit confused as to why the president is such a highly trained CQC specialist but I guess she was in the army either NUSA or Militech.

One thing that is kinda annoying me is that V was super on board with Songbird wayy to early like, yeah she did her a big favour with the whole relic situation but V seems way too trusting which is disconnecting me a bit. I honestly kinda wish cyberpunk didn't have multiple dialogue choices and it was just like for example RD42. Arthur says what Arthur would say, it's linear dialogue. When I get the choice to pick what V says it often comes out wrong because I was expecting her to use a different tone or whatever.

Also this is just a problem with games in general but I like how in the cutscenes the President and V are treating this like a life or death situation like I didn't just literally eviscerate every single goon I saw on the way in with max reflex and tier 3 mantis blades and could probably do the same to the entire city.

I am not trapped in a combat zone full of cyberpsychos, you are all trapped in here with me.

holy shit finally someone who thought the same as I did
literally have max Johnny affinity and treat him like my brother and all that, yet Songbird just literally kicks him off and my V can't even scream at her. i know that V is dying but he shittalks the literal only people that could help him like Arasaka on a daily basis but suddenly turns into a good boy / girl when he meets a random NUSA Netrunner

gonna make my V Team NC babyyyyyyyyyyy

Well, the Phantom Libery ending made me cry. Touche, CDPR. I can call Cyberpunk 2077 one of my favourite games now.

I think the ending of the DLC is very powerful from a narrative point of view but is absolutely the worst outcome for V, even over the suicide ending. That final shot of them disappearing into the crowd as a nobody really hit me, but saying goodbye to Johnny in the FIA AV really brought the tears out.

It made me really ponder that quiet life or blaze of glory question.

Been having a lot of fun with the game, but I think I've just ran into a big game breaking bug and so far no way to fix it, I've tried restarting, reloading saves, nothing works.

Basically, the enemy AI just stopped working once they spot me, they just stand still and don't do anything, and I'm trying to find a way to fix it but so far nada. Can't finish the game like this cause the challenge is all but gone, so I'm hoping I can find a fix or there will be a patch for it...

No balance mods or anything?

Even ones left over from a previous install?

Just completed another ~60 hour playthrough of Cyberpunk, totaling out to around 260 hours. Amazing game, PL and 2.0 made it even better.

The alternate ending of PL is great, but I also hate it and love it at the same time. I still hold my belief that the Don't Fear the Reaper ending is the best out of all of them, with nomad/PL tied for second.

(Don't Fear) The Reaper is genuinely the only acceptable ending to me, simply because V is unironically a beast by the end of the game, and this ending is really just a test of your power. The only time I ever die during the secret ending is now funnily enough Adam Smasher, he's become a lot tankier, which took me by full surprise

I do wish they expanded on the Konpeki Plaza ending tho :(
