Supers was actually fairly edgy iirc.

So far, 3 guys have literally gone out partying and one-night-stand hunting, a lizard man has scared a woman accidentally, a lanky guy beat up a huge mountain man by throwing bits of glass in his face and all of the edgy characters have pretty much been ignored/inactive.

Listen, you're not really being funny. If you don't like anime, you'll probably still enjoy it. The only reference to any anime at all is in the form of face claims. As for the powers part, you don't have to play a powered individual.
