The fist map had missing textures, there weren't a whole lot as far as I can remember. Honestly, I think we just covered them up and called it a day.
yah tbh theres not much benefit to a map with missing textures and random voids for a new server with a very large playerbase

Well, there is not much of a downside from a few cover able textures. People really enjoyed the map and it being optimized will make a ton of people come and play.

thought the optimized one was just as laggy accordding the bastion, I believe, and maybe CNS?

Well if it proves to be as laggy as the first one, we may have to opt out for another map. But here's hoping we don't have to do that and can
use the map. But at least there are plenty of other options if this one does not work out.

I still have the FrundtechRP edit of Chaparral on my harddrive.
The L4D2 textures seem to be packed into the map as they work and are there.

Chapparel was golden, it had the perfect feel to it for Fruitcake RP. If you make a custom map, some kind of desert biome or something would be dope.

Its a preferred theme to stick with Nevada, I can lift up the Black mesa textures to get the desert terrain sorted.

Btw, if you make this map, try to add small houses/stores/buildings as opposed to large ones. Feels and looks better in the game mode and the small Nevada township that it takes place in. Think chapperal with the small shops at the main street and the smaller villas and trailers near the outskirts of the town.

just copy all the buildings from chapparal including the trailers, those were amazing

Very good. I was thinking we could find a good texture, that one DOES look a bit outdated however it's a good candidate.

it doesnt have to be the same but have you played gta v? if so, please copy the town in sandy shores and make it like that. it'd be so perfect

That's actually a good idea, good thing the internet is stuffed with reference images for the place.
