رحمة بن جابر بن عذبي الجلهمي أو الجلاهمة

RahmahIbnJabir.jpg

Ramah Ibn Jabir Al Jalh'ami.

Described by many including English historian James Buckingham as the most successful pirate to have ever "Infested any sea".

Part of the Al Jalahma Clan of which was in alliance and relative peace with the Kuwaiti Al Sabah and the ethnic Hulawa(Sunni Arab-Persians) of the Al Khalifa, living his early years as a quite content, simple child of the chief of his tribe. Al Khalifa and Al Jalahma clans both decided to take up the path of buccaneering and piracy from Basra in Iraq, to the far reaches of Goa, India, even to the desert coasts of present day Somalia.

Soon Bahrain, of which was then conquered and ruled by both the Portuguese and the Safavid Empires became the prime target of plunder. Thus solidifying an alliance with the Al Khalifa clan. Invading the island trading hub by 1783 that housed merchants of lands as far away as present day Hunan China from present day Zubarah, Qatar. Almost immediately following the success and occupation of the majority Shia island, themselves being Sunni. After a falling out over leadership, Ramah decided it was best for him to continue a life of piracy.

Double-crossing and even pitting many powerful tribes, emirites, and sultanates against one another in the efforts of plunder and power. One of these was the first Saudi Dynasty. After their failed invasion of Bahrain in attempts to reclaim leadership, he then abandoned his fort in Dammam and sailed south to the Sultanate of Oman. Pitting the forces of Oman, the First Saudi Dynasty, and the Al Khalifa's in disputes with one another, falling in great favor with the Sultanate in the coming years. This quickly caught the attention of the British Empire, who sought to establish East India Company posts in the region, and had a zero tolerance policy towards pirates.

After having been targeted directly by the British EIC, Ramah had practically maneuvered himself in exile into nearby Arab-Settled Persia. Bypassing the British. Few years would go by before coming to an abrupt end and demise upon his own ship after previously avoiding the British, rival Al Khalifas, and using his expertise in manipulation to his own gain.

In 1826, of the coast of the Hawar Islands of the coast of present day Qatar, his ship the "Al-Manowar" (The Man o'War) , A 300 ton ship crewed by mainly Afro-Arab pirate slaves was boarded by Al Khalifa pirates. He went below deck, his 8 year old son by his side as he lit the gun-powder kegs, killing all of his crew along with the Al Khalifa raiders. Preferring a death by his own hand than by the Al Khalifas.

(If you didnt read, practically this dude played a ton of arabs against each other, nut-megged the british, then blew himself up, he created suicide bombing before it was cool)

-Also he's the first ever recorded pirate in the world to have worn an actual eyepatch.

Imagine getting BTFO'd so hard you're forced to kill your crew, your son and yourself.

Before the attitude era of WCW there was a German wrestler named Alex Wright. He was pretty ok with his gimmick being dancing.
When the attitude era began they wanted to switch him up and make him edgier. So they changed his name to Berlyn and made him dress some Matrix columbine shooter. They actually had to delay bringing him out because just around the time they were the Columbine shooting happened and he dressed much like the shooters.
When they finally let the guy out he was still pretty small and mediocre so they decided to give him a big buff tag-team partner who they called The Wall.
This all came from me watching Super Best Friends and hearing them talk about some fucking wrestlers called Berlyn and The Wall which made me just fucking laugh

2 years later WCW would be gone, and the era of unopposed WWE would begin

I'm mostly interested in WW2, the Mongol Empire and other medieval time periods.

And my family does have some Nazi and Communist blood in it along with items from WW2 interestingly enough...
