Of course the italian died on the Isonzo. You won't break it the next time, Luigi. It's gonna break you.
It's only sad that Caddorna's sheer nuclear level of stupid caused deaths. If nobody died or was hurt, it'd be perfect meme material.

I've seen this picture dozens of times and always thought what these men thought about fighting against former comrades just 14 years later. Sad to see how politics turns friends into enemies.

The Pianist is such a great film. we can only hopeit one day appears on @Dallas' movie megathread

it's also really interesting to see all the foreign films about WW2 that don't get much credit, most look great

after 9 months of fighting, the Iraqi army had liberated the city of mosul from the Islamic State terror organization after most had either surrendered, or committed suicide.

October 2016 - June 2017. It marked the end of Isis strong holds in Iraq.

No one's quite sure on the numbers, but it's been estimated that Spanish Flu killed between 17 and 100 million people.
It’s pretty crazy to think there’s 73 million people that could have died from the Spanish flu? How do they come up with that number? If those 73 million people didn’t die from the Spanish flu, why did they die? Seems like a government conspiracy?
