So the popcorn lord, Keemstar, made a bullshit video about leafy was subbotting.
Not only that, Keemstar actually subbot his own channel
https://twitter.com/LeafyIsHere/with_replies check his Tweets & replies tab, there will be a gif of a user viewing Keemstar's profile in a botting site.
Here's a video that explains the whole situation.
Holy shit, this guys voice is annoying. It's like he always has some weird cold.
On the whole YouTube "news" that is mentioned, I hope that Leafy does Sub-bot, because I despise his content and what he stands for. Whilst I'm all for full freedom of speech, I dislike the way Leafy uses it. He doesn't use those rights to make a stand or to help anyone important, but to instead attack the innocent and hurt others. It's in poor taste and it's unbelievable that so many people watch the hate being spread by him.
That being said, Keemstar does the exact same thing, except people have now finally started to ditch him. Can't remember why but I know it isn't because of the awful shit he's done to other people, calling people out daily on being paedophiles and trying to stalk people and whatever.
Totalbiscuit came out lately and said that it was "unconstructive negativity" and "insufferable witch hunting". He was extremely disappointed to see this happen to a community he used to defend against sceptical onlookers and is now unhappy he ever did so. The video is here, and it's great.
The biggest problem I have with the whole thing, though, it how fucking damaging this is to real content creators. May I also say that
everyone is trying to attack artists in the 21st century, offline and online, and it's bullshit. YouTubers who make short films are said to have "no real job" and aspiring content creators who make music, digital art, photography, and so on, are being drowned out by big YouTubers who follow a shitty algorithm to get views and are attacked by incorrect usage of copyright law constantly. Not only that, but their content is being repeatedly stolen by people on social media, especially Facebook, which really is a disgrace. But, on YouTube, it feels like it's the biggest problem since you can at least go against Facebook posts and argue your job as an artist if needs be whilst YouTube is literally stopping new content for even having a decent chance anymore.
Here, I'll show you a few amazing channels that have been screwed over by the way youtube works.
