@Roosebud Hey if we get auth to use our old characters, can we get at least one of our old weapons back too? I want my M60E4 that I like, never used but I will use it I swear
Also what is the process to getting auth, do we have to do an application? And can we do it like now?
uh I reckon we could authorize a certain degree of equipment for some characters depending on circumstances, in the case of weapons it'd be down to availability and balance though. Character auths are still way down the line though, we're currently setting up forum-side infrastructure so we can open up a subforum

Alright, I shall wait for that then, thank you for the answer. Be sure to update us, I just want to know if I'll be able to at least finish my old char story, still having another new char for other things.

Branches I'd like to see; Soviet Army (military arm), Commissariat (policing the military arm) KGB (Russia supreme intelligence authority), Stasi (German puppet intelligence authority with its' own internal operatives either supportive of the Soviet interests, or German interests), NJSOC Remnants (small pockets of remnants from European campaign either disconnected, active, or simply retired. CIA/MI6 (primarily) working to remove important political/military figures from the region by either doing it themselves covertly through poisoning/bombing/other means of assassination (giving reason for engineering to always check vehicles when such events do occur) or by enlisting the support via monetary funds, or military/medical equipment to sabotage/infiltrate/destroy valuable Soviet assets, i.e. factories, oil refinery, iron mines. In terms of rebel groups, I'd like to see crime families, Nationalist-Authoritarian groups, Trotsky/Leninists, and Democratic Liberals all fighting for power in relative obscurity, only being contained by the garrison of Soviet forces in the region.

Things I don't want to see:
Branches stepping outside of their specific roles, disregarding their purpose within said division. If we're going to be a roleplay server, people have to play the specific role otherwise it can devolve rather quickly. With the Soviet Union being a strict hierarchical structure, I want to see harsh discipline from superior officers, letting the enlisted know that when they're around each other, they can fuck around as pals (unless that pesky corporal walks by with a pencil and clipboard). And when they're in front of officers, they know to stand up straight and behave proper.

The moment we get groups of people laughing off some NCO/CO as they're RPing seriously, taking the piss out of them as they're literally doing their role, only to have a group of people fail to take it serious, we're going to run into problems. Personally, I don't think I'll be using much discord unless I find myself with an obligation to be in it, simply because of the fact its part of the reason I lost the sense of thrill of early day patrols first time in Snowy Korea and Turlkey.

I don't want to see a whole lot of characters from all over the world shoe-horned in as was seen once before, particularly from NATO. Europe at this point is still very homogenous in terms of people of being European and I hope that everyone does their best to create interesting characters that fit the setting. Perhaps having a list of specific locations that characters may be from on each side, then ones that would require an application to become, and even those could be denied if staff felt it would be unfitting for the server.

cant wait to play micromanagement the roleplay game as john logistics
QM. John Logistics: A huge man at 7'2, donning heavy tactical uniform with a .50 marksman rifle on his back. You begin to wonder why this neanderthal hasn't deployed to the field yet.

The Communications and Logistics Unit, otherwise known as ‘CLU’, is the unit that does the work behind the scenes to keep the troops on the field informed on what’s going on by using radio reports of distress, visuals, or enemy troops to remind and update others requesting sitreps. On base, they’re in-charge of ordering in shipments of supplies to be delivered to medical, engineering and the quartermasters to keep the troops stocked and replacement parts available for use. Within the team are logistic specialists, electronic technicians and communications specialists, who spend more time on base than their combat engineer counterparts, however, they do work together to ensure that supplies are available for the front-lines.

To join the Communications and Logistics Unit, you must either be within infantry with a college degree in a related field, a combat engineer, or a non-commissioned officer. Preferred qualities include self-reliant, pro-active, and a dedication to saving lives through hard work, informing our troops on the field and efficient logistics.

The Communications and Logistics Unit is overseen by First Lieutenant Robert Botsford (@Poopship McGee) , Second Lieutenant Clark Winters (@Dazza), and Master Sergeant Arie Roest (@Zekrop).
