am i right to disassemble everything i dont need?

not really
most of the uniforms and weapons you find are at like 10-30% so the parts they give you are absolutely destroyed
a monolith exosuit on 25% only sells for 2k to sid which is retarded
just carry light, if you don't repair a lot don't disassemble uniforms

if thats the case then get a pair of nvgs and go out at night, you'll manage better in limansk at night imo

i don't mind red forest tbf, i find it easy enough to sneak and maneuverer around enemies, but because limansk is so linier you're forced to fight every enemy along the way.

pretty sure 1.51 added a music volume slider
if you want a more manual solution find the sound files n lower their volume in audacity
