It's not that Discord is bad or anything, it's just not the same, and will get easier upon use. I dislike it because it offers public chat in a channel, and that could actually cause some annoyance, especially when everyone wants to do different things in a roleplay.

I will say this.

Administration in Discord is absolute shite. You end up moving channels instead of players half the time.

I think that is because of the way its setup to stop Server Admins from moving themselves into private channels right now rather than discord itself, can't be entirely sure though. I think the plan was to use Discord as its expected that it will eventually have updates that give it most if not all the features of TS but with a lot more useful features on top, along with much more frequent updates.

• Free communication isn't an issue right now. We already have the server.
• Not even going to go into what IP and DDoS protection do, because tbh I don't care.
• Browser support isn't needed. It doesn't even work properly with push to talk, so you get to hear that one guy typing all the time.
• The free phone app is cool, I'll give you that.
• Teamspeak has a contacts list.
• More codecs for TS.
• No annoying push notifications on TS.
• The text chat is better on TS for individual channel chat, but better for discord with global.
• I have no fucking idea what automatic failover is.
• Soundboards can still be used, and still are on Discord.

Adding to this, people are complaining about Discord dropping their connections every now and again.

This should help people decide which is better for themselves.

Server tags are called "roles" and they don't fave fancy pictures. They get colours and permissions, and names.
